Starstruck Lovers

Chapter One

(year 1996, date 18 June)

As I wonder the halls of the ministry of magic trying to locate Harry and his group of friends, I stumble across Tonks who mentions that they have maid their way into the Death chamber. As me and Tonks makes our way in the direction of where harry would be we bumped into Sirius, as we told him where Harry and His group would be, we then ran towards the chamber, as we then attacked the death eaters in every direction. While I was defeating one of the death eaters all I could feel was someone staring at the back of my head, as I turn around I see that Lucius Malfoy was staring shocked at me, as if he recognised me, I thought nothing of it and continued to defeat more death eaters. As I defeated one of the last death eaters near myself I hear the killing curse aimed towards someone, as I turn to see who had fired it and who it was aimed at, I see a spark of green light hit Sirius as he fell backwards into the veil. All I could feel was dread and a sense of anger as Sirius was one of the people who welcomed me with open arms despise my house. I turn to look at Bellatrix who had fired the curse as she cackled off to the side, as I was about to lift my wand I hear Harry let out a scream as he soon chased after her. As I was about to follow after him Remus pulled me away from the scene, I kept repeating that I've got to help Harry, as he pulled me away and later apparates away. As I arrive back at Hogwarts and now that Dumbledore was back in charge, I was soon called into his office. As I slowly made my way to Dumbledore's office I recollect the events that has happened today, as I remember what happens to Sirius. As I look back at all the memories that I have shared with Sirius from the first time meeting him in my fourth year to the moment he died, I remember the first time I saw him and he saw me his reaction the way he looked at me was similar to the way Lucius Malfoy had looked at me today. Which had me thinking why they both would react like that upon first glance. By the time I had finished thinking I had already made it to Dumbledore. As I pronounce the password and climb the stairs, I knock on the door and hear a voice announce enter. As I enter I receive a sympathetic look from Dumbledore, "Y/N please take a seat I need to discuss something with you." Dumbledore says as soon as I walk in. As I seat myself upon a seat in front of his desk Dumbledore starts to talk. "After recent events I have decided to send you on an important mission." I look towards Dumbledore with a surprised face as he knows that Sirius had died hours earlier and that he was one of my close friends. "Why choose me if it is such an important task, why not someone like moody or Kingsley?" I ask, in a curious voice as I wonder what this mission would need of me. "Miss Rose this mission is top secret and cannot be said to the rest of the order or even your friends, this mission is matter of time. Somethings have happened that are not supposed to happen, and I need you to resolve it back to its natural course." As I think about the mission, Dumbledore continues. "The reason that I am asking of you to go on this pacific mission is because Miss Rose the year I am asking of you to go to is the year 1976, and the task that is required to accomplish is based upon protecting the future events from changing or potentially getting servier." As I listen to what Dumbledore informs me, I slowly start to come to terms around this secret mission. I look to Dumbledore after staring at my hands for so long thinking. "I accept the mission, but what will you tell the others, and how will I get back?", "The others will think that you are out of country cause of recent events and will think that you are on order business, and the case of you returning is highly unlikely I'm afraid." As he starred down at me through his moon-shaped glasses. I nod my head in acknowledgement, as I start to stand and make my way towards the door after our final discussion. "Miss Rose." Dumbledore calls out. I turn towards his direction. "I'm sorry about what happened to Mr Black, oh and I would like you to return here tomorrow for you to start your mission." I nod and say a polite thank you towards him then leave his office. As I make my way towards the Slytherin common room and enter I see Draco sitting near the fireplace with his group of apes. I slowly make my way past them as I feel Draco stare at the back of my head like his father did earlier before his capturement. I make my way up the small flight of stairs to my room to get some sleep. As I lay in bed all I could think about was the events from today, I turn over and close my eyes from exhaustion but all I could see was Sirius falling into the veil.

The next day (19 June)

I wake up with a yawn and stretch my body as I get out of bed, I start to get ready for breakfast then meet up with Dumbledore. I take one last look around my bedroom and then the common room as I knew that things were about to change for either the better or the worst. As I'm sitting at breakfast all I could see from across the hall was Ron and Hermione but no Harry. As I finish my breakfast I look up to the teachers table at the front of the hall Dumbledore was no where to be seen. He must be in his office I thought to myself. As I start to leave the main hall I could feel another stare from behind, all these stares are starting to annoy me now, I turn and see Professor Snape starring at me particularly. I turn back around and decided its time to head to Dumbledores office. As I arrive at his office I knock on the door again and hear a quiet enter. As I enter the room Dumbledore talks to me, "Miss Rose I hope you had a pleasant morning, but are your sure and ready for this task ahead?" I make my way more ito the room as I answer, "I am sure Professor, im sure i will handle this task well." He nods at me, "very well we best get you going now Miss Rose." I nod as I follow him further into the room to discover a cabinet with multiple objects. I continue to look as he rummages through the cabinet and pulls out an old looking watch. He hands me the old watch, "Now Miss Rose this is a time turner usually you can only go back a few minutes or hour, so normally it would have its limits, I would like you to use this to go back in time to 1976 to resolve the time line to what its supposed to stay like and to protect it." I look up from the watch in my hand and look towards Dumbledore, "But how will it work if it is only meant to only be an hour?" I asked confused. "Well Miss Rose we will have to push it to its limit and see how it'll turn out." he says looking at me with a straight face. As I look down to the watch a question pops into my mind. "What if I cant get back?", "Then you will be stuck within the time line, and will gradually make your way back." As I think over what I heard I slowly come to terms with the idea of possibly not making it back to the present and possibly being stuck back in time. I turn back to Dumbledore and mumble a small ready. He nods at me and steps back. As I start to turn the time turner all the way back to when I want it to be, I look up to dumbledore as he gave a small smile before all I could see was darkness and a pull as I passed out.

Hi all, I'd like to start off by thanking you all for reading this chapter, sorry if there are some spelling mistakes as I haven't written in while. I would also like to say that this is my first time writing a story based upon fan fiction and would love some feedback to help gain more of an understanding on what I can progress on or improve. I love any feedback on what people might think happen within future chapters so that it can give me either an insight or more of a vision on what I can produce for all you wonderful readers.
