Heyyyy

Enjoy~

(y/n)'s POV

I didn't get to see Eddie until Tuesday afternoon when I was set to pick him up. I had some time after working this morning, so I had settled in for a nap. My mother had checked in on me before I did, making sure I was feeling better. I was still under a general watch after my incident. I didn't normally dream about people very realistically, it was usually people I knew here and there in really crazy situations. But I had a dream about Eddie.

We were sitting in his motel room, doing his homework as we normally would.

"You know, I really wish that people didn't think I was still like...a murderer," Eddie said, out of the blue.

"Why?"

Obviously, you wouldn't want people to think you were a murderer, but I more so wanted to know why he was bringing it up right now. He understood that (not just because he was in my mind at this moment, but because he was just like that. He just got me).

"I'd like to take you out. Then you wouldn't be associated with a satanist."

"Doesn't really matter, my brother 'came back from the dead'," I pointed out. "Don't you think that makes us sort of...good together?"

"I guess that's a benefit, but there are so many other reasons why we work together," he said. (Normally this would make my heart race, but it was calm because I was asleep. It felt sort of like a buzz through my body at most.)

"What other reasons?"

"Well the fact that you're a raging dork and I'm a cool nerd," he said. I frowned playfully, just letting him continue. "So we've got some similarities, but we're also like opposite little puzzle pieces."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah, you help me with school and I'm bad at it," he said, "You're sort of quiet and I'm as loud as they come."

I laughed.

"I make you laugh," he pointed out. "And you make me happy."

"Really?"

"Yeah, you do. Incandescently."

"Are you quoting Pride and Prejudice at me?"

"What gave it away? That I definitely wouldn't know that word otherwise?" he asked. I rolled my eyes, shaking my head. (I wasn't so sure that Eddie had actually, truly read one of my favorite books.)

"You make me happy too," I said and he smiled towards me, that nice smile he had. He leaned up against his fist, his elbow against the table. He reached over, moving my hair aside and dragging his thumb down my cheek.

"I can't really decide which part of you makes me the happiest, besides your personality of course. I just think you're beautiful."

"You don't have to choose. You can have all of me."

"Wow. I didn't know you could flirt like that."

(I didn't know I could fathom a response like that either, even in my dreams.)

"I can be surprising."

"Another thing I like about you," he said. His hand ran down my arm to take my hand into both of his, resting everything in his lap. "I just want to drink you up."

"No one has ever done that," I said and he smiled.

"Lucky me for having some sense," he replied and my heart swelled (muted by the dream-like state.).
