Nop stood there, his hand trembling in mid-air, the weight of his anger urging him to lash out. His gaze fixed on the frail body sitting on the bed, but a surge of restraint washed over him like a tidal wave. His heart wrenched with conflicting emotions, the desire to release his frustration clashing with a deep sense of nostalgia and regret which was gone the very next moment. At that moment, he made a conscious choice to control his anger, to resist the urge to harm the figure before him. His clenched fist slowly relaxed, and his shoulders sagged with the burden of emotional turmoil. He took a deep breath, allowing the air to cleanse the rage that had momentarily clouded his judgment. He screamed and stomped his foot.

Pete looked at him without flinching at all. He continued talking the other second looking outside again.

"I tried many times but I am still not able to kill myself...I still need to send Phayu away. So do it if you can. It's difficult to breathe here..."

Nop paused and rushed out of the room as he saw this conversation was not going anywhere.

A smile bloomed on Pete's lips as he saw Nop half running away from the room. Those superficial wounds won't hurt him either way nor they were life-threatening. They would be healed up before Vegas and Macau would return by the end of this week.

He really had lost himself for a moment when anxiety took over but when his eyes met the scared eyes of his son. He knew that he need to pull himself together.

The new omega maid has been keenly eavesdropping on the conversation. She sighed.

She was just a person planted near Pete by Macau. Her only job was to keep an eye on Pete.

She felt pissed. When Macau picked her up from the red light district. She felt it was her time to shine.

All those who mocked her in the body wash shop for not being the one. She will be the mistress of the manor and laughs at their faces. But here she was cleaning up after a hideous omega. She couldn't understand why both masters of the house were crazy about him.  The omega wasn't even pretty and walked with a limp. She had to help him take a bath and massage his whole body. Pete resisted the first time she tried but when he was threatened by Macau he had to give in.

After Nop walked out. She sighed and went back to do her work. She agreed with Nop's idea that Pete just should have died. Maybe then she could console the head alpha of the house on the bed. She smiled at the thought. When she took lunch to Pete in the afternoon.  She found him standing on the edge wall of the balcony.  She pulled herself together while trying her best to delay the rescue of Pete. She walked to Nop slowly and then acted as of she was panting. When she dragged back a scared Nop to the room. He found Pete sitting on the edge railing while petting a wild cat.

Nop sighed. He knew he shouldn't do this but maybe because of nostalgia he keenly took care of Pete after the incident. He just knew maybe out of comradeship he did care about Pete. Who was he kidding? He changed the hair sample of Phayu. He really cared for him.

"Give back the cat to me.....you know you can't have them here...I will have a cleaner come and have everything cleaned before Master comes back."

"Hmmm..."

Pete has saved the cat who was barely hanging on the edge and ready to fall. Vegas would be coming back tomorrow. Nop was kind enough to let Pete have the cat for the time being. He could see that Nop has turned more generous to him.

Maybe because of genetics, everyone was allergic to cats in the Minor family. Macau, Vegas even Phayu. He reluctantly gave the cat to Nop. He liked whatever peace he had before Vegas returned. He only enjoyed his peaceful time playing with the cat when Phayu was gone to school. He would clean himself and change clothes before Phayu returned. He wouldn't let Phayu enter his room so as to not confront the cat.

Macau was having a hard time sleeping due to the jet lag. He fiddled through his phone waiting for the sleep to consume him. He played some music when a familiar voice could be heard from the phone. It was Pete's voice singing a lullaby to Phayu. He didn't know how he recorded it. Maybe he recorded this by mistake but he does remember listening to it. Phayu couldn't sleep that night as he consumed too much coffee cake. He stuck to Pete asking more and more stories and for playing a game. Macau and Vegas were playing a game of chess in the garden while Pete held Phayu in a soft hug patting his back and singing a lullaby while sitting on the swing inside the house. Vegas looked back very distracted toward Pete. He couldn't seem to take his eyes off him. Well, who could he blame he was doing the same thing.

Now listening to the song he remembered that he did press the wrong buttons at that time to record this. He listened to the song again and again. His fatigue washed out and he slept peacefully.

He asked the maid to send updates. He looked at the photos of Pete smiling while holding a cat. He looked peaceful. When he went towards the hall he saw Vegas was already working.

Pete's proceeding plans came to a halt when by the end of the week he found himself pregnant.

Vegas happily kissed him. Telling him the good news.

That night Vegas gently held him in his arms telling him he would be producing an alpha for him.

Pete just showed him a smile that he has been practicing for a week now. One good this did come out of this was the doctor telling them to be careful so as not to hurt the fetus.
