Steve sat up in bed. He had just had a dream of his little sister. He missed her so much that he was willing to do anything, anything, to see her again.
Steve got up and went through his day. Running with Sam, making breakfast for the team, and training.
"Hey Steve, you seem off, you OK?"
Natasha asked, noticing him not focusing much on training.
"Yeah Im fine, I just..."
Steve started missing Phoenix even more.
Natasha nodded at this and decided she would talk to Bucky about it. Because if there was one thing Natasha knew it was that if something was wrong with Steve, Bucky would know.
-------------------------Time Skip to later in the day -------------------------
"Hey Buck, you have a minute? I need to talk to you about something."
Natasha said, wanting to know what was worrying someone like Steve.
"Sure, Nat. What can I help ya with?"
"I think something is wrong with Steve. He is not talking, and last night when I mentioned my sister, he froze like a dear in headlights. Do you know why?"
"Oh great. He's thinking about her again."
"Her? Whose her?"
"His little sister. She got kidnaped in school one day while Steve was on a mission. In fact, it was THE mission. You know the one where he went into the ice for 70 years. Ever since he found out, he hasn't been the same. You should have seen him in the 40s he was so much more carefree."
Natasha was shocked by this bit of information.
'I need to talk to Steve' was all she could think about.
