The start! chapter 1

I woke up in my bed,toothless beside me fast asleep i quietly sneaked out of bed and walked down stairs and sat down forgetting that my dads...gone so i went outside and greeted the people of berk with a fake smile that's when i realized i needed some air so i ran back home and to my surprise found toothless awake "come on bud" he happily came along with me

i grabbed his saddle and got on and flew up into the air the breeze calming my aggravation i Sat back up looking at my bud "let's go" I said giving him a tug he huffed for a second but let it go after a few hours we flew to the ground of an unknown far island "what the?" i spotted a weird land with a grove it sorta looked like the nest my mother was in for 20 years i hopped on toothless and flew down

"stay back!" a shout startled me "easy we're not going to hurt you" just after that a few dragons I've NEVER seen before step out of the shadows "who are you?!" a shaky voice shouted "my names hiccup and this is my bud toothless" a figure came near the light "why are you here?" a calmer tone in the persons voice asked "we were just flying when we saw this island and-" "you fly on dragons too?" the figure took another step forward

"yeah...wait-" i was interrupted "you still haven't answered my question of who you are!" i stepped back "alright i'll introduce myself properly my name's hiccup i am the chief of berk and this is my trusty bud toothless" the person came fully in the light to reveal a girl with blonde hair in a ponytail and a blue stripe going down "my names....snowflake" i laughed a bit

"hey! don't laugh!" she stepped down on the grass as ice spread around her "wow" "oops calm snow calm" in an instant the ice around her disappeared she looked over to toothless "a night fury!" she walked over toothless growled for a second "shh easy" she did something that made him stop growling and calm down

"i can't believe this...i thought there were no more night fury's left" i tilted my head she stood up and whistled "come on girl" she turned to the grove as a....NIGHT FURY STEPPED OUT "hiccup this is my night fury her name is raven" she came forward to snow "come with us" she started to walk off i chased after her

"wait...how do..you have a night...fury!?" i said in between deep breaths "come on!" i followed her still till we were in a gigantic nest full of unknown and new dragons "you still haven't answered my question" i said slowly catching my breath "well you see i've always lived with dragons...ever since i was a baby"i stood there paralyzed "wait what?!" i shouted still standing in place

"its true i have always been with dragons and raven here has been my best friend ever since" she stoked her night fury, toothless walked up to raven and then they played around happily that's when snow saw toothless's tail "and who did this?!" i backed up "um surprisingly i did...but he got me back...ta da! peg leg" i showed my peg leg "i know why don't you come to berk?" i said grabbing toothless's saddle

"oh um...i've never left the nest before.......okay im in!" raven growled approvingly "well then lets go!" i jumped onto toothless and lifted off the ground out the entrance waiting for snow and raven for a second i thought she changed her mind but then she sped out the entrance doing a flip in the air falling back behind me

"lets go" i said as me and my bud started to fly "free" i heard her say from behind me i spun my head "it feels free doesn't it?" "yeah" i replied "when i'm up in the air it feels like" "i'm free" we said in sync she smiled i smiled back as we flew to berk...we landed and astrid ran up to me and gave me a massive hug "where have you been?!" she punched me in the arm

"ow! sorry i was out flying when-" "hi i'm snowflake" snow stepped forward to astrid "names astrid" they shook hands Astrids eyes widened when she saw raven "another night fury!?" snow giggled

"well lets go around yeah?" i asked they nodded as i showed snow around her eyes filled with excitement and joy
