The smell of burning wax had awoken me from my unconscious state. I must of been asleep for more than an hour as I didn't recognise any of my surroundings. I was trapped in a dark box room with long black curtains draped over the windows to stop the light of day piercing through into the tiny room.

I looked around, I was alone, where must my mother be? I thought to myself. I quickly stumbled up still feeling disorientated, I ran towards the only exit that I could see-a door. There was a flicker of light entering the room, it grew bigger as I drew closer to the door. Someone must of been walking past, with a burning candle in their hand, that's where the smell was coming from. As I reached the door I took a hold of the handle and opened it slightly, just enough so i could see into the wide open corridor.

In the distance I saw three men huddled in a circle whispering about something, so I leaned in trying to focus on what they were saying. This time they wore no masks I could see their faces, in the safety of their own home. Of course they were safe, they were safe anywhere they went-so strong.

"Where's the girl" the tallest of the three men asked. Did they mean me?.

"She's in room 32" the sheepish of the men answered. Was it me they were talking about? I couldn't see the number on my door. I opened the door wider to see; the door squeaked so I decided not to go through with my plan.

"Excellent, she can stay there" This man frightened me he looked like the one in control, head held high back straight, all the posture and body language of a leader.

"No one will miss her" he added, well they coulden't be talking about me soon enough Guinevere and Camilla would realise I was missing. Firstly because Camilla would have no one to dress in the morning and secondly Guinevere wouldn't have anyone to talk to.

"No she cannot, Pandora needs to be realsed and her mother too, she has to attend that masqurade ball, Sir".

So they were talking about me at least I would get out of this hell hole.

"Very well then, I will be right back gentleman" the 'leader' said.

Then he started walking towards my door, So I ran back over to the place I found myself laying in when i woke up.

"Pandora Gevoux?" he asked.

"Yes, Sir" why did I call him sir? I didn't even know hes authority!.

He came closer towards me, he only stopped when our noses were touching and looked me straight in the eyes. Those big brown eyes, it was as if he was staring right into my soul, it gave me goosebumps.

"You are free to leave, you wont remember anything that happened here today. You will go home and mourne your father and then on Tuesday you will attend the masquerade ball as normal".

Then he refocused his vision and grinned at me. I dident know it then but; he had compelled me.
