Hermione x Reader

Insight:You were a very withdrawn studnet.You never tried to get attention from anyone and very few people even knew you who were beside from the teachers.You got assigned a extra credit assignment to take care of a baby for muggle studies with none other then the golden girl herself Hermione Granger.But you let your anxiety over take you and not introduced yourself to her.Which led her to taking care of the baby.But you decided to help at night.

Noones pov:You were running back to your common room.You just left from muggle studies and merlin was it getting to you now.You were suppose to stay and introduce yourself to your project partner for the baby assignment for muggle studies.But the only problem was your partner and it wasn’t that you didn’t like her but it was who she was the head girl of Gryffindor Hermione Granger.You were suppose to met her after the pairs were called out but your anxiety took over and you fled.You internally groaned as you reached your dorm and flopped on your bed.”God I’m going to have to help somehow.”

Hermione’s pov:”Can you believe it! My partner never even met me after class.”I growled as I looked over at Harry and Ron with their own child.”Bloody hell Hermione!Just go and look for them.Who even are they?”Ron insisted.”Don’t you think I’ve already thought of that.Honestly Ronald.And that’s the problem their names Y/n and I have no idea who that is.”I grunted.”I haven’t heard of them either.”Harry piped in as he was rocking his baby.As I was about to comment my child started to cry out and oh my merlin did it sound like my aunts babies.I picked it up lightly rocking it back and forth “I swear when I find this Y/n i’m going to give them a piece of my mind.”I mumbled under my breath.(Time skip)I have asked so many people who this Y/n is either don’t know or point me to the wrong person.What kind of person just leaves a project partner on their own! Seriously why did I have to get paired with someone who obviously doesn't care about their grades.I laid the baby down in its crib that we were assigned.I sigh as the baby falls asleep.”I’ll keep looking tomorrow I refuse to fail because of someone else.”I huff as I lay in my bed.(Time skip) I rose from my bed and was certainly surprised. I didn't hear the baby cry at all last night.As I got dressed I walked towards the crib and looked down and went into panic as I saw it was empty.”Oh my merlin! I’m going to fail! Hermione! Breath! first you have to get help finding it then-”I stopped my rant as I saw a piece of paper on my dresser.”I swear when I find who did this! He-who-shall-not-be named will fear me.”I huff as I grab the note.It read

“Dear Granger,

I’m sorry for not introducing myself after class.I’m not a very social person at all and I know it was wrong to just leave you with this project.So i’ll take it for now and we can meet up in the great hall and properly introduce ourselves.

From Y/n L/n.”

I couldn’t help the small smile on my face.”Well at least I know they actually care about their grades.”I put the note in my satchel excitedly heading to the great hall with a smile.
