It's been 3 months since Peace went back to playing ball overseas again. Leaving Lauren alone with the kids, her motherly instincts haven't kicked in. She's been depressed more than ever, trying to get out of it by doing other things but nothing seems to help.

She's been avoiding Peace's phone calls since he left, in fear of having to tell him the truth. "Fuck." Lauren sat in Symonè's nursery as she cried loudly, Haze laying on the floor coloring in a coloring book with a couple crayons. She's in a daze trying to come back to reality, but is failing.

"Mama!" Haze called out, she didn't hear him. "MAMA!" He yelled out to get her attention, she jumped at him yelling snapping back into reality.

She just tiredly got up to console Symonè while attending to Haze, "Sorry baby, mama is just a bit tired. You hungry, hmm?" He nods his head yes, "Okay c'mon." Lauren leads the way out the room as Haze follows behind, as she continues to hold Symonè who had stopped crying.

Entering the kitchen, she begins looking through the near empty fridge for food. Only thing there was, were condiments, an old takeout box and some spoiled milk.
There wasn't anything to eat in the house, so she decided to call for some reinforcements.

"You look like shit, Ren." Imani speaks as she hold Symonè while, Lauren loads up the fridge with fresh groceries her sister just brought. "I'm aware."

"You stink too. When's the last time you showered, or even washed your hair?" He dark curls were in a matted bun, left over for maybe weeks now. Her same old blue robe, covered her body as boxers shorts and a dingy tank top was under.
The same black ankle socks on her feet from her last shower.

Her face tired, as dark rings formed under both eyes from lack of sleep. Her body sore, as her mind ran on 1000 nonstop all day all night. Bad thoughts, mainly thoughts of harming herself. How the kids would be better off, without her. How she doesn't think, she isn't a good parent.

A brown box under the bed, contained all the kids personal information and important documents. As for her note, and instructions on how to care for the kids. As for her will written out.
Lauren was tired, so very tired. And she just needs a way out. And this is the only way.
