Darkness surrounds you as the tapping of raindrops hitting your windows rings through your ears, it's three in the morning and you couldn't sleep. You toss and turn but it's no use, so you check your phone and a name catches your eye, "Tae" it reads. Your heart sank when you read his words.
T: "You up? I have to talk to you."
Y/N: "Look who's back from the dead..."
Tae is typing...
You probably shouldn't have been that harsh but he's been ignoring your existence for months now. You've been worried sick. Your phone dings and you see his name pop up again. With shaky hands, you read his message.
T: "I understand you're mad at me, you have every right to hate me but please let me come over. I need to see you again."
Ugh, the nerve of this man... He's lucky he's pretty.
Y/N: "You're lucky you're my soft spot. Come over, and you better make it worth my while."
And just like that, you wait for him anxiously, not knowing what to expect from him, is he there to officially drop out of your life? Is he lonely and horny? Or is he gonna be sorry for his actions? Only time will tell. So, you get yourself all clean up and presentable... Just in case. You do your skincare and body routine before throwing on something cute and simple, after all, it is Tae.

After a while, you hear a frantic banging on your front door, and with a heavy sigh, you go to answer it. There he stands, looking as beautiful as oh...
He's drunk off his ass. Oh boy... "HONEYYY!!" Taemin sobs as he throws himself around you, wrapping you in the tightest hug, "You reek of wine Taemin..." you say, slowly patting his back, "Come in." Closing the door behind you, you lead him to the couch and offer him a glass of water. He looks at you with puffy red eyes, it looks like he's been crying all day. So you sit down next to him and pat his knee, "Now tell me, what's been going on? Why have you been avoiding me? No bullshit or sugar coating either." you say.
He sighs and holds your hand, "She was in OUR bed with another man. I can't believe she would do this to me, everything she wanted she had, and this is how she thanks me. I should've listened to you I'm sorry..." His words were filled with anger and sorrow, "Oh Tae..." you say wrapping your arms around him, "It's her loss you know, like you're Lee Taemin! If she fumbled you, she needs to get a therapist." you say, letting your hand gently rub his back. Taemin sniffles a bit and buries his face in the crook of your neck, your hand finds its way to his soft hair and you begin playing with it, not long after that you feel his lips kissing the side of your neck. You begin to melt at the sensation but you know that this isn't the right time, "Tae... Taemin stop!" you exclaim, and to your surprise, he stops. "I'm so sorry Honey, I don't know what came over me I'm just..." he pulls away and wipes his face with his sleeve, "Look I'm not saying I didn't enjoy it but we both know that this isn't the right time. You're going through a breakup, you're drunk, and you're not in the right state of mind. Sleep it off hmm?" you say as you climb into your bed and pat the space next to you. Taemin smiles weakly and slides in next to you, pulling you in close, "Thank you, Honey, I've missed you."
With that and his warmth swallowing you in his grasp, you fall asleep in his arms, grateful that he's back in your life, as for his ex, you have plans of your own for her but as of right now, you're more focused on Tae, and just like how he protected you, it's your turn to protect him.
