It was mostly quiet until the elevator dinged and out came Owen, shoving past the security guy. "What the hell happened out there?! There are thermal cameras all over that paddock, she did not just dissappear!"

Y/n went over to him, separating him from the security guy who was trying to remove him. "You okay?"

All he got was a nod before Claire spoke, "It must've been some kind of... technical malfunction—"

"Were you not watching? She marked up that wall as a distraction, she wanted us to think she escaped—!"

"We are talking about an animal here."

"A highly intelligent animal."

Their bickering was cut short when Vivian spoke up, "400 meters to the beacon."

Everyone went silent and turned to watch the monitors.

"You're going after her with non-lethals..." Owen seemed in disbelief,

"We have 26 million dollars invested in that asset– we can't just kill it." Simon shook his head.

"Those men are gonna die... you have you have to call this mission off right now."

"They're right on top of it—" Lowrey looked up,

"Call it off, right now—!"

"You are not in control here!" Claire sighed.

After Owen was unable to convince them to just kill the Indominus, he left, Y/n close behind him. It was silent in the elevator until they got out, and he spoke up. "It's stupid, if they just... why would they make something that can hide from thermal cameras?!"

"I don't know... but people are gonna die because they won't do anything about it." Owen huffed.

As they were leaving the building after another encounter with the security guy, Y/n spotted Claire, who was obviously looking for them. He nudged Owen before pointing towards her, and they made their way over. "Claire!"

"I need you."

Owen glanced at Y/n with a confused look, the other man almost felt like he was suddenly interrupting something. "Okay?"

"I-I need your help– my nephews are out in the valley—" Claire sighs, "please if anything happens to them..."

"How old?"

"The older one he's uhm... he's... high-school age.. younger one uhm..."

"You don't know how old your nephews are?"

Despite deciding to go with them, Y/n stayed in the car whenever they'd get out, after watching that entire thing happen with the Indominus, he suddenly didn't feel safe, all he could think about was Henry and the spinos... It wasn't until they'd practically almost died and were now pretty much following the dinosaur that Y/n joined them, and despite the situation- he felt like he was third-wheeling somehow.
