Onceler and you: A way to rewrite the end.

Chapter 3: it's because he didnt leave for good

They even tried by climbing on a tree and doing a chain of bears so the lorax would grab pipsqueak. But he was focused on fruits so it wasnt usefull.

Onceler moved on his sleep and got his foot in the water, making the bed go to the left. So it was now heading to a dangerous part of the river where they went to a stream of dangerous water with stones and quick layers of drowning. (Y/n) started to feel drops as the bed made a few splashes on the surface. So it made her wake up and instantly realized where they were.

-I didnt expect this to happen tonight. Oncie! Wake up!
She says nervous shaking the onceler but he was so heavy on his sleep. Pipsqueak grew in panic, as he moved around to the end of the bed. It made the bed move towards the water turning it around, making onceler, (y/n) and the bear itself and get back on the surface.

They had a few fishes on them but they got back to the water, the onceler coughed feeling choked a bit by the water.

-W-what's Happening? Where are we!?- he says getting scared and all wet.
He looked at the lorax who told they are having trouble and fast.

But he was so scared. -Whoo! We' re in a river!!

The bear hold on onceler shoulder, as onceler turned around and hold tight (Y/n) to stay together as they fall down on the dangerous stream of water and sharp rocks around.

They all screamed as they spin around and bumped on some rocks. Scared of getting drown easily.
After all that, the were on a quiet stream, they laughed a bit.
They made it in the end but it wasn't over yet.

They looked at the front and saw a waterfall making their expression turn so negative.

So quickly, pipsqueak and (Y/n) tried to row with their hands as onceler used his pillow.

-Just do something!!
Onceler screamed.

-And do it now not later!!
(Y/n) added yelling as she row faster.

-the help is on the way- the lorax said to them. As onceler and (y/n) were holding on the poles of his bed panicked, they will fall to their dead so soon.

-I never expected to die this way but at least I am not alone- (Y/n) said panicked by the moment but at least she would die next to her childhood and still actual crush. But never reaching the end of her purpose of changing the horrible destiny of onceler.

Luckily the Lorax made a huge rock roll down a hill and fall down straight to were the two panicked people and bear where, making the rock land at one end making a catapult for them.

As they flew on the air after the hit, Onceler grabbed (y/n) and the bear so they would be saved.
Pipsqueak was okay, (y/n) was also too but was only unconcious, its obvious in the real world she comes from a normal person wont have this type of moments when the almost die and in the last minute you are saved.
And for the onceler, he was dying. The lorax checked if he was alive but he didnt move or breath.

So he used two bears as defribilizer when doing static and with that he made his heart beat again.
The onceler checked himself if he was alive as he spoke with a smile.

-Ahh! Hah haha. I was heading into the light, and you pulled me right back and here I am!!

He said excited for a second he pulled the lorax into a hug.
-You saved my life!!

He says excited but then he saw (Y/n) unconcious. He let go of the lorax and got quick to her.

-(Y/n)!!- he yelled scared and hold her as he politely got close to her chest if her heart is beating. -I forgot of her for a second. How could I?
He says worried still holding her on his embrance and looked at the lorax as he kept her head close to his chest.

-Its good to know that and about saving you its not that big deal
The lorax said.

-It is a big deal!! We almost went over a waterfall!!- the Onceler answered smiling cheerfully and the next part he laughed a bit nervous. -Wait...on the bed. How did my bed get in the river?

He asked the Lorax confused.
The lorax revealed he put it on the water, onceler was shocked so he got up carrying (y/n) away as he was angry.

-I didnt mean you any harm. I just wanted to calmy float you away.- the lorax said as onceler was giving his back. The lorax explained why they need the trees and what happens when he chops them down. So they are having a big problem.

The onceler was now listening and pipsqueak softly got to him and hold a small part of the end of his pant looking up at him like asking for him to be a good person.

As he got down, he laid down (Y/n) for a moment on the grass as he kneeled down to speak.

-All right, look. I hereby swear that I will never chop down another tree- he said and put his left hand on his heart and the right one up as gesture that he promised.

-I promise.

-Thanks you, but I'm going to keep my eye on you.
The lorax said at him.

Before he stood up he hold (Y/n) on his arms.
-Good, Now, I've got a big day tomorrow so I will take (Y/n) and I to get some sleep.

He went to leave (Y/n) on his house using her bag as a pillow so she can at least have something comfy.

-Right after I find the bed for both.
He says leaving again going to search for the bed to put it back in and sleep comfy again.

This was interesting to write, because When I was younger I watched the blu ray extras or the behind the scenes of parts there wasnt in the movie.
I added the part where the lorax tried to scare onceler but failed and then it comes the rescue part when they are in the river.

Now I find small pieces or cut parts with only onceler or they arent found this extra blu ray content after youtube update the rights politic of owners.
I miss those days when you watched everything on youtube. *sigh*
