"Still doesn't make it any easier kiddo." Qrow stated, looking on cautiously actually putting down the drink.

"What happened to her?" Blake asked in worry for her friend and leader.

"It'll be revealed soon." Mike said.

She had to be hospitalized, she was sick, very sick and Ruby didn't have much time left. All he could do was stay by her bedside in her final moments. He looked over her, her skin which was so colorful and lively, now pale and cold, her breathing slow and ragged. He hated seeing her like this, but he couldn't do anything other than watch her as she passed.

The ringing of the heart monitor flatlining cut deep into his soul as he watched his wife take her final breath. Jaune grabbed her cold hand tightly before bending down to place a soft kiss on her forehead. He gave the doctor the 'OK' but didn't move, resting his forehead on hers as tears fell from his eyes. He prayed this was all some nightmare and he would wake up soon to the comfort of his wife in bed, but alas this was no dream and she was indeed gone.

By now, most of the students were in tears at seeing what happened to their friend. Mike graciously summoned some tissues for them to use to dry their eyes.

Yang held on to Ruby tighter than ever as she let the tears fall, afraid that her little sister would disappear if she were to let go. Qrow also joined in on the hug, holding his two nieces tightly while some tears fell from his eyes. He constantly had to remind himself that his Ruby was still alive and here with them.

The rest of the adults all bowed their heads in respect to the fallen girl, knowing what it was like to lose someone special. Especially Ozpin, who had lost both his wife and children, well technically his wife was still alive but the woman he fell in love with was long gone.

Jaune returned from those memories and finished getting ready, he an all black suit as he made his way down to the garage and got in his car ready to start the day. The day he would dread for the rest of his life.

*Timeskip to the funeral*

The sky cried its tears for Jaune's loss as he watched the black and red coffin be lowered into the ground. Everyone present bore a black umbrella and appearance. They began to depart from the area after giving their condolences, well all except Jaune who stared gloomy down at the coffin, his blue eyes losing their spark and becoming grey and dull.

"Wait where are we?" Weiss sniffled wondering why her, Blake and Yang weren't present for Ruby's funeral.

Yang was also confused and a little annoyed as to why her other self wasn't there to pay respects to her sister. Same goes for Qrow.

"Well for you and Blake, in this world the both of you never meet Ruby so you weren't aware of her dying." Mike explained and the two girls in question nodded as they accepted the response.

"As for Yang and Qrow, you'll see in a while." Mike said.

Jaune still couldn't get over the fact she was gone, that he would never see her smile or gaze into those silver orbs of her again. At least on some bright side, Ruby could at least finally be with her family again as Jaune looked up to the tombstones surrounding her grave, they read:

YANG XIAO LONG

QROW BRANWEN

TAIYANG XIAO LONG

SUMMER ROSE.

"Oh shit...." Qrow muttered having his question answered as to where him and Yang were.

"Wait we're all dead?" Yang questioned in shock, she felt a little weird seeing her own grave.

Now it was Ruby's turn to feel sad at seeing what happened to the rest of her family.
