I have never been a rebel. Never was, never will. Sa katunayan good girl nga ako eh--- masunuring anak, mabuting mag-aaral at servant ni Lord. Nope, no single trace of being a rebel..
Why am I talking about this? Simple lang, because my situation right now is worth being rebel for. Unloved. Left out. Rejected.
Isang butas para maging isang rebeldeng anak. Yes I am kind of unloved and left out in our family. Lagi nalang si Ate Brix--- siya yung the best, magaling, dapat tularan, pinakamabait na anak.. lahat. Me? I'm always the second best, trying to shine but can't. Doing my best but my 'best' is always not enough... Magaling ako, arrogance aside, pero kahit anong galing ko sa lahat ng bagay si Ate pa din. Nakakalungkot no? Nakakarebelde...
But I chose not to, kasi kahit ganun ang feeling ko sa pamilyang to may nagmamahal pa din naman aa akin--- si Lord. Hindi ko din siya sinisisi kung bakit ganto, I just simply trust Him. It's his love, my faith that keeps me sane.
"Bianca! Pupunta kami ni Brix sa mall, sasama ka ba?",sabi ni Mama habang kumakatok sa pinto ng kwarto ko. I turned of the speaker and opened the door.
"Ay hindi na po Mommy kayo nalang ni Ate Brix, ipapahinga ko nalang yung sarili ko for the enrollment tomorow.", sabi ko at ngumiti. Mayaman kami, yes, pero sa isang state university ako nag-aaral samantalang si Ate naman sa isang sosyal na University kung saan hindi na niya kailangang pumia ng pagkahaba-haba para lang makapag-enroll.
Nagbago yung expression ng mukha ni Mommy dahil nabanggit ko yung enrollment ko. They don't want me to study there pero dahil kila Mamu (Lola ko) pinayagan nila ako.
"Bianca naman kasi, bakit hindi ka nalang mag-aral sa university ni Ate mo."
"Mom, we talked about this already.",I sighed.
"Hay nako, bahala kang bata ka. Basta, don't blame me or your father if you fail. Don't blame us kung hindi ka magiging kasing successful ni Brix. Osya, we'll go ahead. There's money on the counter if you want to go out later tutal 5 pm pa lang naman.", tumalikod na si Mommy at umalis. Sinarado ko yung pinto at sumandal dito. Mapapabuntong hininga ka nalang talaga. I smiled bitterly.
Lord, I'm okay. Sanay na po ako, smile nalang.
So I did, I smiled without bitterness.
"Give it to me I'm worth it~~"
I picked up my phone and answered the call.
"Yes, panget?"
"You talking to yourself, Banka?", trust Ej to call me that.
" Abnormal! Why did my crazy for a bestfriend called? Ha?"
"Yeah, I'm crazy alright. We're both crazy after all. Anyway, I called to remind you para bukas sa enrollment natin."
"Anong akala mo sakin? Ulyanin? Hinahanda ko na nga'y sarili ko eh. Matinding digmaan to."
"Bakit ba kasi hindi ka nalang mag-aral Ateneo ha?"
"Ayoko, saka wala ka dun. How will I survive there? Duh. Ikaw din naman you chose there.", that's true. Bukod sa gusto talaga ng puso ko sa university ko ngayon eh nandun din kasi si Elijah Geronimo, my handsome yet crazy bestfriend. Oo, alam niya yung issue sa family namin.
"Ang sweet mo namang bestfriend, Bianca Reyes. We both have the same reasons, Banka.", I smiled at the thought bukod kay Lord atvsa faith ko he also keeps me sane.
"Bestfriend sweet moments 101. Haha! Anyways, sige na. Ibababa ko na alam ko namang you're busy with your choreography right now. Bye, Ej.", we're both dancers actually.
"Yeah, you know me too well. Bye, Banka!", I dropped the call and fell flat on my bed. Binuksan ko yung tv, ayoko talagang lumabas ngayon.
I flipped through the channels dahil walang magandang channel til I found Myx. Star Myx is on with an unfamiliar song playing. Nagstay nalang ako sa Ch. 32 kasi catchy yung song.
The song ended at sakto namang lumabas ang isang lalakeng tantya kong kaedad ko. He was wearing a navy blue coat with a black shirt underneath, he's hair styled perfectly. He started talking about coming back after the commercial, grabe yung accent niya... Nakaka.. inlove? Wait no, no. Attention catcher lang.
Sino kaya to? Never ko pa siyang nakita sa kahit anong show. But I'm sure that he is a good artist dahil nafeature siya sa Star Myx.
"Before I reveal to you my number 1 favorite music video, I would like you to watch first my first music video for Everyday! I hope you'll like it!", he then flashed a smile. A smile that would make girls swoon.
