First of all, sorry (lol)
Second of all, I just wanted to get back into writing and this one was an idea I've long had before. In a weird, meta way, I made this story as a tryout for a storytelling contest years ago which led to me landing as the Champion, so I wanted to revisit the idea and polish certain aspects of it. As compared to my usual works, this one is mostly straightforward with little (actual) scene-breaks. As a little easter egg, this short story was meant to be presented as one of Banawag's tales!
And what better time to release this during the time when most of the caballero trees start to turn green again :).
And it turns out, the prophesy was right. This was a story that transcends legends. A story that was the origin to what would then be the hierarchy of the Underworld in The Land In Between. I hope that you enjoyed the story, even if one could say it was doomed from the start, but it was fun to write. Even if at times it was painful. After all, Despair is the loss of heart :3.
May we meet again on a better occasion, preferably when I stop making historical LGBTQ+ angst for breakfast lol
