Toman. You'll never understand how you got mixed up with this group of delinquents, however they sure did make your life more exciting. Hina was apprehended at first to introduce you to Toman, the danger it could put you in was too much and she didn't want you to get caught in the crossfire, but with some persuasion from a certain blonde haired girl you three became watchers for their meetings, supporting Toman quietly from the sidelines and where you crossed paths with a stoic looking 4th division vice-captain.
This brings us to now, it's been several months since you first crept into Toman's meetings and after some consistent begging from Emma to their commander, Mikey allowed you to stay. Which is why you're now spending your weekend with Hina, Emma and the boys at the beach. Seeing everyone so stress free and without a scratch was a rare sight to behold. You were sat under a beach umbrella with the girls, giggling over the guys play a failing game of capture the flag, and not being able to take your eyes of a certain blue-haired man.
" So (y/n)" Emma beamed. "Are you going to keep staring at him or are you actually going to talk to him?"
Emma's question brought you back into reality, you looked over at her flustered, waving your arms frantically at her to try and quiet her.
"E-Emma, I have no idea what you're talking about!" You stuttered out hastily, taken aback by her question.
"Awh~ don't play dumb with me (y/n)" Emma cooed.
Hina interrupted "— you look at him the same way Emma looks a Draken" she giggled at Emma's slight blush at her comment.
"I suppose sometimes he becomes my focus of attention" you blurted out, trying not to make eye contact with them. "He's charming" you spoke with a slight smile.
Emma and Hina beamed in awe at your confession. You rolled your eyes at them and continued watching the guys. You end up locking eyes with Souya, you could feel the heat on your cheeks set in as if he just heard your entire confession. You both exchanged smiles, but unfortunately for him this interaction caused his team to lose this round.
"Oi, Souya! this isn't the time to get distracted by your cutie" Hakkai shouted with a cocky tone, knowing exactly what he said. Souya looked stunned at his declaration. His face was tinted with a light pink hue and he awkwardly scratched the back of his neck.
"Your cutie!?" You mumbled quietly.
Did Hakkai just refer to me as his cutie? Souya's cutie? Souya thinks of me as his cutie?!
"Eek~ (y/n) did you hear that" Hina practically shouted. Emma grabbed your hand and dragged you towards the boys, with a menacing expression.
"E-Emma, woah, what are you doing?" You panicked, seeing she was dragging you right towards a blushing Souya. "Oh Emma- you are so embarrassing" you whispered.
"Souyaaaa~ (y/n) is your cutie? What's this about?" Emma smirked. Souya's brother peaked out from around him, smiling per usual. "My Sou has had a little liking for (y/n)" chimed Nahoya. "I've been trying to get him to talk to her but apparently the 'timing wasn't right'" Nahoya quoted, doing little air bunnies behind Souya causing you to giggle.
"The right timing? Hm" Emma thought aloud. "Well.. what about now?"
It felt like in that moment everyone's eyes turned to you and Souya, the feeling of excitement and anticipation hovered around the group waiting for the next thing to be said.
Souya quietly laughed and turned to you "(y/n), let's not give them the satisfaction, huh? Let's go talk somewhere quietly- and alone" He stuck his tongue out at his brother cheekily and grabbed your arm before running up towards the promenade. You ran with him, your mind couldn't even begin to think what would come next. You both finally slowed down, slightly out of breath and laughing nervously over what just happened. Souya still had ahold of your arm, he subtly linked arms with you as you both walked. You smiled brightly towards him at his action gaining a smile back. Maybe he was the cutie.
"Hey Souya" you said, breaking the silence. "Wanna buy some ice-cream? My treat!" Souya nodded in agreement and you ordered for the both of you as he sat on the bench.
"Here" you said handing him his ice-cream. Your hands brushed together slowly as he grabbed it causing a hot wave to rush through you. His hands are so soft, you thought. "I hope you like it Sou~" you said as you sat down next to him.
"So, I'm your cutie, huh?" You cooed at him.
"Well uh- I wish I could've told you myself" He said hesitantly. "I first noticed that you were secretly coming to the meetings at first , I thought you must've had some crazy death wish and well, I couldn't take my eyes off you" he confessed.
"Really?" You spoke softly.
"Y-yeah, I mean, you're a cutie" He said. Staring softly into your eyes with a slight smile. Gosh, you thought, he's so handsome.
Your cheeks felt hot from his confession, you couldn't help but smile at him, your free hand slowly made its way into his, stroking his hand softely, he held yours back.
"(Y/n)?"
"Yes"
"Would you be my cutie?"
You got close and pecked him on the cheek
"I would adore that"
