Missing in action

Chapter twenty

Taken the pup out for a walk, back soon -A.

I smiled at how thoughtful Anna was and threw the note in the bin. I gazed over to watch Theo and Lando, as Theo had sunglasses on that he was showing lando. Nerves bubbled in my stomach as I realised where I had gotten those sunglasses from. They were the ones I had taken from Lando's hotel room all those years ago.

"You know where Evy got these from" Lando laughed as he looked at the glasses that Theo had in his outstretched hand. 

"Who?" Theo was confused not knowing my name was Evy but knowing me as mummy. 

"Mummy, do you know where you got these from" Lando asked looking back at me with a sly smile on his face, fuck he knew I had taken them. My face burned from embarrassment as I smiled back at him. 

"These are my glasses" Lando said to Theo as he put them back on Theo's face "Your mummy borrowed them" he carried on. 

"Do you want them back" Theo asked, I was feeling proud of the manners he had learnt. 

"No they're yours now" Lando smiled at Theo, his face lighting up. 

"I'm never going to take them off every again" Theo shouted walking over to me. 

"You hungry mango?" I asked him while looking at lando wondering if he was going to stay for dinner. 

"Can we have pizza please" Theo asked climbing up on the sofa, the glasses tipping slightly on his face as he did so "and can daddy stay" he carried on looking between us both. I span round to gauge Lando's reaction. His face wasn't giving much away. 

"If you're okay with it I would love to stay" Lando said quietly, trying to make sure Theo didn't overhear. 

"I would like you to yeah" I admitted to more myself than him. 

"Pizza?" Theo asked still sat on the sofa. 

"Duh my favourite, i'll order" Lando replied heading to the sofa and flopping down next to Theo. I walked over to the sofa and sat down on the other side of Theo, he was between us both. Once Lando had ordered food we tired to find a movie to watch, all arguing over the best one to watch, Lando and Theo wanted to watch cars but I was trying to get Theo to watch something else, other than the film I had watched 500 times before. But my defence crumbled when he said he wanted to watch his favourite movie with his dad. So here we were 30 minuets into the movie when the door bell rang. 

"That'll be food, I'll grab it" Lando said as he got off the sofa heading towards the door. 

"Thank you mummy for finding my daddy" Theo said to me as he laid on my chest. 

"Oh mango i'm sorry he wasn't here before, do you like him" I asked, my heart soared for him, his happiness meant my happiness. 

"I love him" Theo replied as lando closed the door and headed over with the food. I smiled at them both fighting to get the first piece, realising how similar they were to each other. We carried the night on with the movie and eating before Theo was softly sleeping on our arms after a few hours. It was the latest he had stayed up before, I gently picked him up. 

"Do you need help" Lando whispered in the space between us, a chill ran down my body leaving the comfort of the sofa where we were all huddled up. 

"No it's fine, do you mind clearing the boxes up though I'll get him to bed." I replied walking towards Theo's room. He didn't stir once I laid him down and tucked him in, he was knackered. Taking a moment to watch him sleep, I let myself feel the butterfly's from tonight. 

I headed back into the living room where Lando was putting the glasses in the dishwasher. His shirt pulling tight against his back and shoulders. His biceps flexing as he was even doing domestic things, it was extremely attractive. 

"I should get going, I have training tomorrow" Lando said, bringing my mind back to the present. 

"Yeah sure, thank you for coming" I said to him as he took a few steps closer to me. 

"I loved being here, I know I made the right choice" Lando remarked looking in my eyes. 

"When do you go back to travelling?" I ask wondering what will happen with Theo and Lando's relationship once he starts traveling again. 

"Well I have juts over a week off left and then were off to Monaco" Lando quietly said, probably thinking the same as me. 

"Well if you have any time free before you go we would love to see you again" I smiled at him. 

"Yeah we can go out one day, I'll let you know when I'm free" Lando said before opening and closing his mouth, wanting to add something else but deciding against it. 

"Okay send a text and we will be free" I replied walking to the door. Lando followed closely behind. As I tried to unlock the door I could feel the heat from his body, I missed how he felt over me, how his fingers lit my body up when he dragged them down me. The door swung open and I held it for him. Lando's eyes flicked down to my lips as he took a step towards me, but before anything could happen thunder ran in and jumped up at my legs crying. I looked out of the door and saw Anna wave at us with a wide smile. 

"Talk tomorrow" Lando muttered forcing a small smile on his face. I smiled back as Anna walked in waving at lando. I slammed the door and took a deep breath. 

"Fuck I think i'm down bad already" I admit to Anna. 

"No shit" she laughed, I joined in holding my head in my hands.
