"Good morning, (Y/N). Need anything?"
"Just need some directions toward the closest library."
"Oh then-" She explained in as much detail as she could to direct me properly. I listened to every word carefully because I didn't want to get lost in a city I know nothing about. The last thing I need is to get more frustrated than I already am. The entire point of this venture is to get away from all the boredom and from her. Though something tells me I won't be able to...
"And there next to the casino, you'll find it. The word 'library' is written in very bold distinctive red letters so you can't miss it." She finishes with a smile
That's a very peculiar place to have a library next to...
I nod and say a brief 'thank you'. I march towards the coat hanger where my jacket is, and I put my arms through the sleeves. I feel the stare from a pair of eyes burning through my back and I already have a distinctive idea of who it might be. I turn around and our eyes lock. Neither of us speak until I chose to be the one to break the silence.
"Goodbye, M3GAN." I don't wait for her response and shut the door after I leave. I release I sigh as a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. As if I should have done this a long time ago. And the truth is I should have. I mean staying at home all the time is downright unhealthy. I have no reason why I should stay at home after all, unlike Authors who have to stay at home if they want a chance to upkeep their way of living.
My feet take me down the streets Gemma mentioned before. I look at the busy streets filled with people. There are teenagers laughing, families passing and homeless men freezing. Each and every type of living is conveyed in one single scene. The rich, the poor, the happy and the unfortunate. I stray my eyes away from them not wanting to attract more attention than I'm already getting.
A child has already pointed out my white hair and the mother quickly shushes her son. She averts her eyes and speedwalks in the opposite direction. I roll my eyes knowing this wasn't the first time this has happened and drag my feet this time a bit faster than before. My agitation was starting to show, and I click my tongue. The whole reason I went outside is to relax and now I get mad over the careless behaviour of a mother and her son. Pathetic.
Before I know it, I can see the casino at the very end of my sightly human capabilities. I stride over, closer to see that my eyes do not deceive me. The casino was covered in neon signs and various numbers of 7. The lucky number as it were. And next to the obnoxious building of unwavering debt was standing in all its glory – the library.

The red letters shone through the monotone colours of the neighbourhood (that is if you don't count the distinguishing casino) and spiralled through my mind as the name repeated itself in a round of echos. I looked away from the entitled name and peered towards the welcoming door. I trotted to the door and opened it as a bell rang signifying my entrance. A few people looked my way but immediately gazed back at their books when they understood I was no one important.
