"Red or maroon?",
Khadija asked herself as she was
getting ready for a girls night out
with her lover, Kamilah.

It kinda felt like a date night
but it was not.
Tonight, both of them were gonna
relax themselves and enjoy doing
what they like together.

They needed this girls night out as recently they both have been busy
with their own lives and haven't been able to catch up.

It wasn't a plannedcone. Just this morning, she received a text from Kamilah.

"Hey Khadija. Are you free tonight?
I was thinking we both could go out
for a girls night out and catch up.
I'm sorry,
I've been very busy with clan and work that I couldn't get the chance
to talk to you.
If you're free tonight,
then I would love to have a girls
night out together.
Waiting for your reply.
Love, Kami ♡"

Khadija loved calling her Kami.
And Kamilah loved it too.
Kamilah had started to use emojis, thanks to Khadija.

Of course, she texted back
and said Yes.
Then, they decided where to meet
and other details.

Finally, Khadija made her decision
and went with the red sexy dress
which she had ordered recently.
Kamilah loved red colour and
Khadija knew that well.

She got ready and left her house
to meet Kamilah.
They decided to meet at Central Park.
Khadija saw Kamilah and
was surprised.
She didn't wore a business suit.
Kamilah was actually wearing a
short beautiful dress of blue color
along with a pair of blue earrings.

Kamilah smiled at her and
they hugged.
Both of them got gifts for each other.

"I missed you, Kami."

"I missed you too, Khadija.
How are you?"

"I'm good now that you're here.
What about you?"

"I'm well. I've something for you."

"I also have something for you too."

They exchanged gifts and smiled.
Then, both of them went to
other places, talked about their lives.

"I just got a promotion today."

"That's awesome, Khadija.
I'm so happy for you.
Congratulations my love."

"Yeah thank you but.."

"But?"

Kamilah looked at her.

Khadija continued,

"But, I quit my job. Today.
Because doing a 9 to 5 job doesn't
make me happy.
I don't want to do it anymore.
I want to pursue something else.
I want to fulfill my childhood dream which my parents said was stupid
and useless."

"What was your childhood dream?"

It's to become a writer.
I love writing. I really do.
I used to write a lot during middle school.
When I started high school, my parents told me to do something in business and then do a 9 to 5 job.
I don't know what happened to me back then, but I had agreed.
Then, I got so busy in fulfilling their dream, that I completely had forgotten about my passion
for writing.
After doing a 9 to 5 job for 4 years now, I realised that this isn't what
I wanted to do in the first place."

Kamilah rubs her back and kisses her forehead.

"I understand.
You should go after your dream of becoming a writer.
I know your parents may not understand but
this is what will make you happy.
You should think about your happiness.
You did a 9 to 5 job for your parents and fulfilled their expectations
and now it's time for you to do something for yourself.
If you need anything, I'm right here.
I'll support you in every single step.
I love you, Khadija."

She hugged Kamilah.

"I love you too. Thank you."

"Enough talks of the past.
Now that you've quit your job to follow your dream, it's time to celebrate."

Khadija smiled.
The night went on and
they had a lot of fun and enjoyed a lot.

Khadija was truly happy to have met someone so loving, kind and understanding person like Kamilah
who was ready to support her in each step and was always there for.

Kamilah was a wonderful friend
and an amazing partner as well.

They both were the one for each other and were also each other's best friend.

And, nothing could ever change that.
