"I love you, you know that right?"

"I love you."

I head to the bathroom and take a shower. Once I change into some fresh clean clothes I walk to the living room and I see Alex on the couch.

"Not a single word." Alex says.

"I wasn't going to say anything."

"Right." Alex says as she continues to type on her computer. "I talked to Taylor."

"Oh?"

"Make time babe, she needs you."

"She lives with us?" I say as I furrow my eyebrows.

"Exactly. She lives with us and you can't make time to talk to her. We all live under the same roof, we eat breakfast together." Alex says.

"We're busy."

"You both are at fault, constantly letting yourself drown in work. She's working because she doesn't know what else to do, and you're working because not only are you stressed out about our whole plan, but you have no idea how to help her. When I heard her over the phone, she sounded exhausted."

"I'll talk to her this week. I promise."

"Tonight."

"Tonight? But we're finding out the gender."

"Oh no yeah we're definitely doing that but tonight I'll be sleeping in the spare bedroom, I want a whole bed to myself for one night. You two are long overdue for a talk."

"Okay. Understood."

"Good."

"I'll start making food. Anything you want in particular?"

"Pasta."

"Pasta and a salad. On it."

"No I said pasta."

"And salad."

"No salad. Just pasta." Alex says again, looking up from her computer screen.

"Yeah but you see your doctor said you need to eat more veggies." I say waving the spatula.

"Ugh fine."

After making food, Alex and I sat outside in our backyard. We enjoyed the sun and the food, taking our time as music played in the background.

"I'm excited." Alex says and I smile. "Like I'm so excited."

"I'm excited too, a little nervous but excited overall." I say with a small shrug.

"Are you ready to find out?"

"Nope." I say as I head to the kitchen and grabbing the cake. "Here or inside?"

"Out here will be nice I think, it's not too sunny anymore and the weather is perfect." Alex says and I nod as I set the cake down on the table.

"I'll just set my phone down to record and we can cut the cake." I say with a smile.

"I'm glad there's no cameras around today." Alex says as I try to set the phone on the table.

"They were actually filming when I was with Taylor this morning."

"How was that?"

"Fine. I'm barely getting used to it. You'd think I'd be used to the cameras after many years of them following us around but nope. I'm just now getting used to it." I say as I finally prop the camera at a good angle. "Okay got it. Ready?"

"So ready." Alex says and I smile.

"Here's your cup." I say as I hand Alex a glass cup. "So on the count of three we just cut a piece out with the cup."

"Got it. Okay you count?" Alex says and I nod.

"Last guess?"

"I'm thinking boy." Alex says.

"I'm saying girl."

"Interesting. Okay you can count down now."

"Three.. two.. one." I say.

As soon as I say one, Alex and I push our cup down into the cake and cutting a piece, slowly we both make sure a piece of the cake is in the cup then we flip it over.

"It's a girl. We're having a girl." I say with a smile, turning to look at Alex. "A girl!"

"Oh my god we're having a girl." Alex says, I place the cup away from us as I hug Alex.

"We're having a girl."

"I love that so much for us." Alex says and I pull back then peck her lips.

"A baby girl." I repeat then cup Alex's face. "My brain is literally still processing it."

Alex smiles and I lean in to kiss her.

"I'm so excited."

"You're not nervous anymore?" Alex asks and I laugh.

"Oh I'm still nervous, that's not going away." I say shaking my head making Alex laugh as she leans in to peck my lips.

"Oh my god now we have to think of names. What are we going to name her? Her room, how are we going to detail her room?"

"Well I can tell you that we're not going to have her room in pink. I think green and beige."

"Green and beige?" Alex asks and I shrug.

"Yeah, neutral-ish colors? Like a nice soft green not dark green."

"We'll see."

"I just don't want to walk into her bedroom and be blinded by a ton of pink all around."

"I will agree with you that more neutral colors will be a nice choice. But a name! Babe we need to really think about her name."

"I know, I'm not going to give her a name that's absolutely not a name like thunder or something or bubbles."

"Bubbles?" Alex asks.

"You never know what people name their kids now, maybe someone's name is bubbles. Although bubbles is nice, it's a nice word. It has a nice ring, not for my child's name but it's nice."

"I love you so much."

"I'd hope so." I say closing my eyes and nodding. Alex quickly punches my arm. "Ow."

"You're a jerk."

"I love you." I say softly with a smile.

"Let's eat cake now, I've been craving cake."

"I've been meaning to tell you and well mostly ask you, if you want to go on a vacation? You know before this sweet baby comes." I say as I take a bite of the cake.

"I think that sounds lovely."

"Great. I'll make arrangements and we can maybe go in two weeks? I think we'll also need that vacation after we release everything. It's going to be a chaotic week."

"Agreed." Alex says as she leans back.

"I'll set it all up."
