A swordsman was in the midst of his intense training when he sensed a presence nearby. He turned around and saw a human standing there, admiring his swordplay. The swordsman was taken aback by the sight of the human, and his heart began to race. He had never seen anyone like Paku before, with his messy hair and kind eyes."Who are you?" The swordsman asked, his voice low and gruff.
"My name is Paku," the boy replied, a small smile on his face. "I saw you training and I was impressed. I've never seen anyone move like that before."
The swordsman couldn't help but feel flattered by Paku's words. He had spent his entire life training to become the greatest samurai in Netherworld, and it was rare for anyone to appreciate his skills.
"I'm Kon," he said, sheathing his sword. "I'm training to be the greatest samurai in all of Netherworld."
Paku nodded, looking impressed. "That's quite a goal. I'm just an ordinary human, but I appreciate a good swordfight when I see one."
Kon felt a strange flutter in his chest at the sight of Paku's smile. He had never felt this way before, and he didn't know what to make of it.
Days went by and Kon couldn't shake the feeling he had when he first met Paku. He found himself looking for excuses to see him again, and he began to spend more and more time in the human world. He even skipped a few training sessions, much to the annoyance of his tutor, Yuyuka.
"You're not taking your training seriously," Yuyuka scolded him. "You have a responsibility to carry on the Konpaku family legacy. You can't let distractions get in the way."
Kon knew Yuyuka was right, but he couldn't help how he felt. He found himself thinking about Paku all the time, and he felt like he was losing his mind.
One day, Yuyuka took Kon to the human world for a change of scenery. They walked around the bustling city, and Yuyuka pointed out all the different types of humans they saw.
"That one's a musician," he said, pointing to a man playing guitar on the street corner. "And that one's a chef," he added, nodding towards a busy restaurant.
Kon listened intently, but his attention was drawn to a familiar figure in the distance. It was Paku, walking towards them with a smile on his face.
"Hey, Kon!" Paku called out, waving his hand. "What are you doing here?"
Kon felt his face flush as Paku approached them. "Uh, just... taking a break from training," he mumbled.
Yuyuka noticed the way Kon was looking at Paku, and he raised an eyebrow. "And who is this?" he asked, his tone neutral.
"This is Paku," Kon said, introducing them. "He's... a friend."
Yuyuka nodded, looking unconvinced. "Well, it's nice to meet you, Paku. I'm Yuyuka, Kon's tutor."
Paku smiled. "Nice to meet you too. I've heard a lot about Kon's training. He's lucky to have such a skilled teacher."
Kon felt a surge of pride at Paku's words, but he also felt guilty for skipping his training sessions. He knew he needed to make a decision, and soon.
Days turned into weeks, and Kon found himself torn between his duty to his family and his growing feelings for Paku. He continued to train, but he couldn't shake the guilt he felt for neglecting his responsibilities.
One day, as he was practicing his swordplay, he heard Yuyuka's voice behind him.
"Kon, we need to talk," Yuyuka said, his voice serious.
Kon turned around, sweat glistening on his forehead. "What is it?"
"I know you've been distracted lately," Yuyuka said, his voice gentle. "I can see that there's something on your mind. But you can't let that distract you from your training. You have a responsibility to carry on the Konpaku family legacy, and you can't let your emotions get in the way."
Kon nodded, feeling ashamed. "I know," he said. "I'm sorry."
Yuyuka sighed. "I understand that you're going through a lot right now. But you need to make a decision. Either you focus on your training and your duty to your family, or you pursue this... distraction."
Kon knew what Yuyuka was getting at. He knew he had to make a choice between his duty and his feelings for Paku. It was a decision he had been dreading, but he knew he couldn't avoid it forever.
Later that day, he went to see Paku. They sat on a bench in the park, watching the sunset.
"Paku," Kon said, his voice low. "I need to tell you something."
Paku turned to him, his eyes curious. "What is it?"
"I... I have feelings for you," Kon said, his voice barely above a whisper. "But I also have a duty to my family. I don't know what to do."
Paku looked at him with understanding eyes. "I know it's not easy, Kon. But you need to follow your heart. If your duty to your family is more important to you, then that's what you should do. But if your feelings for me are stronger, then you need to pursue them."
Kon felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. He knew what he had to do, even if it wasn't easy.
"Thank you, Paku," he said, feeling grateful for his understanding. "I... I think I know what I need to do now."
