Frolicking in the flowers

Spring is not what it seems..

The air was crisp and normally around this time of year it was warm and the flowers were just starting to bloom. It was spring time and I can still see my breath in the air. Too cold for my liking if I may say. It's not snowing but it feels like I'm covered in it. As I walked to school I noticed that there was a flower blooming on the side of the road. I didn't think flower's could survive in this kind of weather. I mean if I was a flower I wouldn't be able to survive out here. Looking at the time I hurried up and ran off towards the high school, I couldn't be late on my first day of my junior year.

As I walked into the classroom, I heard a voice call out to me; "Heyyyy Paige over here!!" It was my best friend since elementary school, McKenzie Withershaft. She was waving over at me and I hurried over to hug her. "Oh my god! Kenzie, I didn't think I'd see you this year I mean it shouldn't be a surprise since they put us in the same class since kindergarten" she started crying and all I could do was smile and hold her tight. "I know, I was so worried I wouldn't see you this year but when I looked at the roster and saw a Paige McKinley I was so relieved it was you!" She said that like there was another Paige McKinley in the school. Shaking my head I let her go, and took my seat behind her as the bell rang letting everyone know class has started.

POV Switch (???)
At the rival school, Shintoru high.
"Ugh... i honestly hate this Ohio weather. It's supposed to be spring time." Looking out the window I stare off into the gray, cloudy sky. Flash backs of that night bursts into my head like fireworks. Crying, screaming, all the blood soaking my clothes. I even started to smell the smoke invading my senses. Then I see...her. Her face pale as can be and drowned in tears, holding someone in her hands. The bell rang drawing me back to reality and away from that night. My buddy Sam came bursting into the class room out of breath. Everyone started laughing as he apologized for being late. I Smiled waving him over, he sped walked towards me siting in the seat behind me. "Sup Damien, long time no see man" 'my name is Damien Spencer, that guy taking to me is Samuel Santoya.' "Yeah, I missed you this summer sam"
Sam doesn't know about what happened that night but he's someone i tell almost everything to. Basically he's like my right hand man.
"So Damien how did everything go with Shindo high chick. I remember you said you went to go talk to her" I was shocked he remembered I said that. "Oh..uh yeah she turned me down..heh" I obviously lied... I couldn't tell him what really happened with me and her family.
