IN CASE it had escaped anyone's attention, The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black had an ongoing theme regarding what they named their children.
The chosen names, carefully crafted from a reality beyond their reach, took shape to embrace each individual. It was no secret why the stars and their constellations became the source of inspiration, for along with how they would perpetually show whenever enhanced by darkness, the Black family name would remain as an ascendency of purity forevermore.
In order to preserve an untouched reputation they carefully crafted their children's minds to play with humans as if they were marionettes — dehumanising them until they became lifeless beings displayed for the simplicity of their entertainment. They owned tongues with edges so sharp they spat words like venom, their eyes possessed a light grey colour yet reflected only cold empty darkness, and oh — one couldn't ignore how everything about their appearance was absolutely breathtaking.
Yet, looks were hardly ever the prioity for they had been taught to believe that a persons worth came from within. More specifically — in the state of thick red liquid running through their veins, only ever valuable if considered pure. It was a social construct that the pure blooded wouldn't be caught dead in the company with someone impure. After all, if two blood types are mixed the outcome would be poisonously fatal — that's simply common knowledge, even those "muggle healers" know of it.
To put it shortly, every child born in to the Noble House of Black had been named after the small suns on the night sky or the constellations they formed — therefore they were bound by blood to ensure that their family name would be kept pure as long as they shall walk the earth who's soil was beneath them to touch.
At least that was how it was supposed to go, but somewhere (somehow) along the line something changed. A first misstep from tradition might be the cause to why all their plans circled down the drain — pure blood going with them.
Orion and Walburga Black don't know what came over them the night they named herEleanore(November 3rd, 1959). For with him, the first born son who's entrance to the world blessed (cursed) them on the very same stormy night, they didn't stray from tradition. They named him Sirius after the brightest star of the lot as he wore the tittle of the heir. With her, however, well it didn't really matter what they named her for nobody ever took notice of a daughter (wrong).
Eleanore Black was not named after a star and therefore she was destined to be always be swallowed by darkness — cursing her existence to one of misery. Nothing celestial could have warned them about her — no astronomical observation could've foreseen that it would be her to destroy the legacy once and for all.

I do however own Eleanore Black and other characters/plot lines that doesn't make an appearance in the books/movies. (ii) [WARNING!!] this book contains mature themes such as abuse, mature language, alkohol consumption, sexual content (...) if any of the themes above are disturbing to you — do not read! (iii) [AUTHOR'S NOTE] finally I can publish this book who's plot has haunted me for the past year.
