HOW TO WRITE A POC FRIENDLY BOOK

X BLACK READER.

X BLACK READER. An x black reader FF is a FF  where Y/n is perceived as black. There many of them, they usually are about animes. Not only aren't there a lot of them, there also isn't a lot of good ones.

There's a few thing in those Fanfics that make me question the authors race. They claim to be black but are they really? Here a few things that will make me click off a x black reader book.

— Nigga. Using the n word doesn't bother me at all, what does is it being in a every fucking sentence. Sometimes it doesn't even make sense.

— AAVE. A lot like the previous point, it's the way it's used that that could either make or break the book. It isn't wrong to use but overusing it isn't it. "Whew Chile, I finna gonna do this and that period boo" I've never heard a black person use aave in this way. It's almost as if a non-black person wrote it.

— Angry black woman stereotype. In x black reader, Y/n tends to be written agressif and violent. Basically the angry black woman stereotype. Everyone's a little sassy from time to time. Everyone gets made but don't make it y/n's whole personality.

— Skin tone. Just because it's an x black reader it doesn't make every reader the same skin tone. We're black, yes but we're not all the same shade.

— Body types. The whole Hourglass, perfect body, fat ass, big tiddies, big lips, skinny in the waist, this and that isn't bad but not always realistic. This is a human not a doll. Some people may have it some may not. There's chubby, skinny, middle, tall, short, medium and so much more. Explore that. Don't stay stuck in a one box.

— Just stereotypes in a whole. Stay away from those.

— This one is for the comments. Just because B!Y/n doesn't fall into the stereotypes or doesn't act a certain way, doesn't mean she's white. When you're black, you're black. No matter how you act.

Black people are human. Our skin might be different, our experiences might be different but at the end of the day, we're human. We have emotions too. That doesn't make us white. We're beautiful and intelligent.

We want a space full of comfort too.
