Is romeo and juliet overrated?

i used to admire
the romeo and juliet type of love. aimless, passionate. forbidden. it all seemed so perfect until i realized that romeo and juliet were never in love. it was the idea of love that they chased.
and i can't help but wonder if i chase love too.
