The pitter patter of rain hits hard against the water's surface, absorbing into the dirt and falling as droplets from leaves.
You're the perfect person outside. Stable job, big house, loaded with money. Nobody will ever know about how you achieved this success, how you managed to move into a large abandoned home in a random small town. The whole town knew eachother, so rumors of how you managed to move in spread like wildfire.
They thought your behavior was strange. One of your neighbors saw you laughing and playing in the rain in the middle of the night. Townspeople noticed that whenever it was raining you'd be there; hair wet, clothing soaked, but with a bright smile on your face. They thought it was strange - people normally hid from rain. That familiar sound of rain soothed you, blocked out the thousands of rushing thoughts.
Lee Minho, a boy who has lived in this town his whole life, hated the rain. He hated the sound of it hitting the roof and he hated the feeling of it soaking his clothes. Everything about rain just icked him out.
He didn't understand you. Not when he saw you walk into the cafe he worked at with water dripping from the ends of your hair and a giddy expression on your face. Not when he saw you standing in the sidewalk letting the rain hit your face. He didn't get anything about you or your obsession for rain.
Minho disliked you - just because he couldn't understand you.
