Chapter 120: Shan Yaxin 40

Start from the beginning

At the end of her words, Shan's mother's voice became smaller and smaller.

Hearing this, Shan Yaxin's anger reached its peak, and she tried hard to suppress it from bursting out. She could understand what her mother meant, but she couldn't accept it.

The disparity in status and identity would make people look down upon her. She had been ridiculed by people before and after her divorce.

Her mother said this to her in the hope that she would be accepted by the Dai family as soon as possible and suffer fewer grievances.

But reality is cruel. Seeking to compromise won't earn you the respect of others.

Only by truly becoming strong can the Dai family give way.

"I'm going out." Shan Yaxin left the room with a cold expression and slammed the door.

Shan's mother stood there, helpless and in tears.

Shan Yaxin went downstairs and saw Dai Shiyuan's thin figure approaching from a distance.

For a moment, she wanted to hug this person regardless of everything and pour out all her emotions.

However, when Dai Shiyuan came close to her, she could only suppress this crazy idea and show a gentle smile.

"Sister Yaxin, you can wait for me inside the house, no need to stand outside in the cold wind," Dai Shiyuan said with a light smile, feeling happy from the inside out.

"It's okay, just waiting for a while," Shan Yaxin replied with a smile, reaching out to adjust Dai Shiyuan's scarf. "Xiaoyuan, this scarf suits you well."

"It's because you have good taste and picked the right one," Dai Shiyuan complimented with a smile, noticing that Shan Yaxin's expression was off. She asked worriedly, "Sister Yaxin, did you have a fight with your mom?"

"No, it's just a small matter," Shan Yaxin quickly shook her head, her smile turning bitter.

Dai Shiyuan suddenly felt sorry for her and had the urge to confront Shan's mother.

But as an outsider, she couldn't interfere in someone else's family affairs, and that urge turned into a feeling of helplessness.

"Sister Yaxin, don't be upset. One day, the conflict between you and your mom will be resolved," Dai Shiyuan optimistically comforted her.

Shan Yaxin silently smiled, handed over the keys, and softly said, "Xiaoyuan, you keep these keys. You don't need to give them back to me."

"Ah?" Dai Shiyuan was taken aback. Her happy mood suddenly became uncomfortable.

She opened her mouth, wanting to say something but found that she had no right to do so.

Just like she couldn't stop Shan Yaxin from moving out, she had no way to refute this statement.

"Xiaoyuan, I'll walk you back," Shan Yaxin laughed lightly, reaching out to hold Dai Shiyuan's arm, like a good friend.

Dai Shiyuan's body stiffened for a moment, then relaxed, and put the keys in her pocket.

Unknowingly, she became more and more concerned about Shan Yaxin, and everything the other did could affect her emotions.

Dai Shiyuan didn't know if it was a good thing to be influenced by someone else so much, but what she was sure of was that she wanted to protect the person beside her.

Even in the beginning, when she had to avoid Shan Yaxin, she still stood up to help when Shan Yaxin was bullied.

On the way back, neither of them spoke. Dai Shiyuan quietly looked at Shan Yaxin's profile and smiled contentedly.
