Chapter 103: Shan Yaxin 23

Shan Yaxin threw a caring glance her way, wanting to ask her something, but held back.

Dai Shiyuan didn't want to talk in the car earlier, and probably wouldn't tell her now.

The car drove smoothly on the road, and Dai Shiyuan quickly realized they should have arrived. But when she opened her eyes, she saw an unfamiliar road.

She was surprised and turned her head to ask, "Sister Yaxin, isn't this the way back?"

"Yeah, I'm taking you somewhere," Shan Yaxin replied, looking ahead.

"Where?" Dai Shiyuan's eyes showed a curious look, and she looked around and saw a clinic not far away.

Her heart tightened, and she wanted to explain that the car had already stopped.

"Xiaoyuan, don't move, I'll carry you in," Shan Yaxin said as she quickly got out of the car and went around to open the passenger door.

Dai Shiyuan sat there and didn't want to move, hesitating as she held onto her seat belt, and whispered, "Sister Yaxin, I'm fine. Let's go back."

"It's my friend's clinic, you can trust it," Shan Yaxin said, with a determined look as she placed her hand on the seat belt.

Dai Shiyuan felt like she couldn't resist and could only step back, "I can do it myself."

"Okay." Shan Yaxin stepped aside.

Dai Shiyuan got out of the car feeling relieved, but before her feet could touch the ground, she was lifted up.

"Ah..." Dai Shiyuan exclaimed softly and instinctively hugged Shan Yaxin's neck tightly, her face suddenly turning red.

She never expected Shan Yaxin to deceive her like this.

"Sister Yaxin, I can walk by myself." Dai Shiyuan struggled a bit, blushing as she protested softly.

"I can carry you faster," Shan Yaxin said with an unchanged expression, deliberately lifting her up a bit more and getting an even tighter hug from Dai Shiyuan.

It was late at night now, and there were no patients in the clinic, only a young and pretty female doctor playing on her phone.

When she sees two people enter, the female doctor's eyes light up, and she smiles and says, "What brings the beautiful Miss Shan here?"

"Xiaoyuan seems to have injured her foot. Come take a look," Shan Yaxin gently places Dai Shiyuan onto the sickbed, not responding to the doctor's teasing.

When she hears the name "Xiaoyuan," the female doctor's face shows a strange expression, and she quickly looks up to meet Shan Yaxin's cold gaze. She hastily shows an understanding expression.

Blocked by Shan Yaxin, Dai Shiyuan cannot see the eye contact between the two.

Looking around, she realizes that this is a psychological clinic, not a general clinic.

"Sister Yaxin, it's my foot that's injured, not..." Dai Shiyuan whispers, but stops herself halfway.

She was just impulsive, not crazy.

"She used to study orthopedics," Shan Yaxin turns around and explains with a light laugh, pointing to the female doctor and saying, "Let me introduce you. Her name is Hua Jin, a top medical student at the medical school. She's already a master's degree holder at a young age and has no problem with her profession."

"I see," Dai Shiyuan nods naively, realizing that it's better not to ask why someone would switch from orthopedics to psychology.

She tries to search for the name in her mind and feels like it's a character from a book, but she's not sure.
