Alec was an unusual child. Not in a negative sense, although that's debatable. He was different from other children. 17 years old, his life's entire mission was to study well and get into a good college.
He hadn't had his first kiss and he was still a virgin. He had never been in a relationship, and honestly he never even thought about it. His default thoughts were that relationships are a waste of time and he could be doing something much better during that time.
He was very ashamed of this fact, how his life was so boring and lacked spice. He just accepted he would never get a boyfriend and would die a virgin who never even kissed someone.
He still hadn't come out to anyone except his online friends. It wasn't that he wasn't proud of his sexuality, infact he was very happy with the fact that atleast SOME thing was different in his life. He wasn't a generic straight dude. He was gay. And he liked it.
But his mom was very homophobic. She believed "a man and woman was the way God intended life to be, and homosexuality is unnatural."
But at the same time, she was a very logical person. It sounds ironic, but it is what it is. She was probably the most intelligent and street smart person Alec knew.
Alec was the complete opposite. He was an awkward, introverted teenager. Social gatherings were his worst nightmare. He wished he could become invisible whenever he wanted and nobody would notice him. He hated attention.
