The First Home

     Harry was waiting in the car for Robin and Doi. He could see them at the gate of the house, and the green bird was yelling about something, as was usual. Doi had been unfazed by this act for some time now, but would listen to Robin's delusional ramblings on occasion, if only to ensure the bird's continued sanity. That was the thing about Robin. He always needed somebody to listen to him, and not necessarily their approval over his words, but at least their engagement. Harry watched them for a while, as Doi eventually dragged him back into the car.

"You got everything sorted?" Harry asked, as the two sat in the back of the car. 
      "Almost left my pocket-thesaurus." Doi answered, as Robin just grunted in exasperation.
      "I still don't see why we can't bring my printer-scanner! We might need to file documents, or something."

"Oh do shut up," Harry muttered, as he clicked the keys into the hole on the dashboard. "We are not lugging that lump of metal to the new house, it'll probably explode in the car."
     "And I have already filed the documents we need for this house ownership," Doi looked up from the map he was reading, his green eyes glinting in the summer sunlight "I think you'll find there is an available printer in the local post office, actually."
     "God forbid you two smart-asses. I do wish you'd never changed those batteries." Robin swiped at the map, before Harry turned back to them.

     "We are never getting anywhere with you arguing, so please, let me drive in peace." Harry spoke over them both, and started the car. The sounds of whirring machinery and the roar of the engine overlapped the voice of Robin, who was still sulking over something, but the journey was begun. It was finally time for something new. Harry glanced over to the map Doi had pinned to the window, and looked between the houses to where they would soon be living.

"Next stop, Home."
