Chapter 1 :THE BACKLASH

Arthur is a young and ambitious politician who has been campaigning hard to be elected in the county of El Dorado. He has captured the attention of many with his progressive policies and charisma and has been widely regarded as a rising star in the political world. However, just when things were looking up for him, tragedy struck the county in the form of a terrible fire incident that claimed the lives of thousands of people in the neighborhood. In the aftermath of this disaster, Arthur now finds himself facing a wave of backlash from his opponent, Jeremy, who is using the tragedy to undermine his campaign and paint him as inexperienced and unfit to be the future of El Dorado. When Arthur became an orphan at the young age of six, his life took a dramatic shift. He previously knew a loving and happy family, but everything changed in an instant. One day, his father lost his job, and after a heated disagreement with his mother, he sadly killed her by stabbing her. Arthur's father left him to fend for himself because he was unable to handle the sorrow and shame of what he had done. Arthur's boyhood was ruined by this tragic incident, and he was forced to face adulthood without the love and guidance of his parents. He also risked his life to escape reality. He made the decision to feed his ego with compliments from others rather than confront his issues head-on. He became indifferent to the feelings and needs of everyone around him as a result, becoming numb to the realities of his life. His lack of faith in compassion and love was clear evidence of his heartlessness.

Jeremy was Arthur's shrewd and nasty competitor who was out to depose him in politics. He was raised in affluence and had access to great riches and influence. He bullied Arthur when he was younger, demonstrating his intrinsic urge to rule and dominate those around him. Because of his family's connections and power, Jeremy received everything delivered to him on a silver platter, unlike Arthur, who had to work hard to earn his political success. Jeremy, despite his lack of effort, was driven to succeed and become a well-known politician, and he saw Arthur as a significant roadblock to his achievement.
Just before going to bed, Arthur said: (sighs) Yesterday's events were far too coincidental. A fire just one day before the election? It doesn't feel quite right. (Thinking) Arthur:  Was it a set-up? Was there an attempt to sabotage the election? Arthur: (pauses) But it could also have been an accident. Electrical systems can fail in a variety of ways. (Concerned)     Arthur: But what if it wasn't an accident? What if it was done on purpose? What if someone is attempting to tamper with the election results? Arthur: (firmly) I need to figure this out. I need to conduct an investigation to determine what actually occurred. Arthur: (resolute) I will not allow anyone to subvert the democratic process. The election must be fair.
When Arthur awoke the next morning, he was surprised to see a swarm of journalists and reporters outside his house. He had proposed the demolition of an old electrical power station that was no longer needed, but now he was being accused of being the one who had destroyed it. Arthur had no idea how things had gone so wrong, and he felt like a bad person in the eyes of the public. He knew he had to clear his name and clear the record, but it would be a difficult battle, and the only thing he could do was stay quiet and investigate this situation by himself. After arriving at his workplace, he learned that the election would be postponed for the next six months. The police were apparently investigating some killings, and the public had asked that the two politicians be properly examined. The people demanded that the perpetrator be held accountable and deprived of their money.

"Shit is about to get real," Arthur stated as his expression sank.
