So. fucking. dramatic.
It was as if we were on a reality tv show, and the plot twist finally happens.
"Yes we are!" Kiri yanked her hands away.
Ronal began walking towards me, Lo'ak, and Neteyam. She quickly grabbed Lo'ak's hand, holding it up for the crowd to see.
"They have demon blood!"
The crowd gasped once more.
Lo'ak looked down. I felt so bad that she put him on the spot like that. I wanted to beat her ass. Not only for judging him, but for judging all of us.
I grabbed lo'ak's other hand, squeezing it. I didn't want him to feel bad about himself. He's perfect just the way he is.
He looked towards me, putting on a light smile.
"Look. Look!" Jake put his hand up for Ronal to see. "Look I was born of the sky people, and now I am Na'vi." He told everyone. "All right? You can adapt."
"Maybe so, but a human can not." She walked over to me, pushing me out in front of everyone. As she did so, my hand ripped out of Lo'ak's.
I would've said something, but that would just ruin the chances of the Sully's staying.
"How is she breathing our air?" Ronal asked Jake.
"How about you ask me instead of him?" I spoke up.
She turned towards me.
"Not that it's any of your business, but I was used as a experiment. And I was the only one who survived. I don't claim to be Na'vi. I don't claim to be like any of you." I told her, looking around at the crowd, even the Sully family.
I could see the worry on Jake and Neytiri's faces.
"Then what are you doing here?!" She loudly asked.
"I'm here for one thing, and one thing only. To protect the Sully children."
I honestly don't know why I'm explaining myself to her. I don't know her for one. For two, she doesn't need to know.
"Why do they need protection if they stay here?" She circled me.
"The same reason you protect your children on a daily basis. To always make sure they're safe and aren't in any danger." Her face expression changed.
I knew talking about her family would work.
"What if they are safe? Where do you go?" She stopped walking around me, stopping in front of me.
"Until the Captain I work for knows I completed my mission, I can go. The faster I complete it, the quicker I can leave. Don't take things out on them because I am human. They didn't ask for me to come, they weren't even aware I was coming." I lied.
They did know but I was just trying to make a point.
"So please. I beg you...let them stay. Even if that means I have to stay somewhere separate just for me to stay here, I will." I sighed.
I hate begging.
It makes me feel weak, but it was for a good cause. She walked away from me, leaving me standing here looking stupid.
I walked back to my original spot.
I could feel Lo'ak and Neteyam's eyes on me but I ignored them as always.
"See. We will adapt, okay?" Jake said to Tonowari and Ronal.
"My husband was Toruk Makto." Neytiri spoke up, walking towards Ronal. "He led the clans to victory against the sky people." She said confidently, holding her head high.
"This you call victory? Hiding among strangers?" Ronal looked between Jake and Neytiri. "It seems Eywa has turned her back on you, chosen one."
Neytiri hissed at her, making Ronal hiss back.
"I apologize for my mate, she's-"
"Do not apologize for me!" Neytiri told Jake.
"Come along way and she's exhausted." He added.
"Jake." Neytiri said sternly.
Neytiri went back in her original spot next to Jake.
I want to beat Ronal's ass. She's a stuck up bitch who doesn't know who she's messing with. Neytiri will fuck her up, and if not her, then me.
I doubt that Neytiri would pass down the opportunity if handed to her though.
"Toruk Makto is a great war leader. All Na'vi people know his story. But we Metkayina, are not at war." Tonowari said to everyone.
"Dad." Tuk said worriedly.
Jake then picked her up. Tonowari then turned towards Jake.
"We can not let you bring your war here." He said to Jake, looking disappointed.
"I'm done with war. Okay? I just want to keep my family safe."
Tonowari just looked at Jake. I could tell Tonowari is a great man. A great leader, and a great person.
He's the only one whos shown empathy.
"Uturu has been asked. "Neytiri said in a demanding tone.
Tonowari turned towards Ronal, exchanging looks. I grabbed both Neteyam and Lo'ak's hands. They both interlocked their fingers with mine.
I placed my head on Lo'ak's arm. I was so tired. Not tired like I wanted sleep tired, but tired of this conversation. It was taking so long.
"Toruk Makto and his family will stay with us." Tonowari announced. I lifted my head, shocked. "Treat them as our brothers and sisters. Now, they do not know the sea. So they will be like babies, taking their first breaths. Teach them our ways, so they do not suffer the shame of being useless."
I scoffed at his words. He could've used another word, or worded everything differently.
"Okay. What do we say?" Jake asked us.
"Thank you." We all said in unison.
"My son, Ao'nung, our daughter, Tsireya, will show your children what to do."
Her name is Tsireya.
She's pretty, and has a beautiful name?
Imagine...
"Father why do-"
"It is decided." Tonowari told Ao'nung.
Ao'nung too. He's a little prissy bitch just like his mom.
Tsireya then happily skipped over to us. "Come. I will show you our village." She said sweetly.
She's a sweetheart of course. She definitely kisses her parents ass...
