I felt like I was drunk. I've only ever felt this way when I went to a party when I was 17.

"Lo'ak you're so sweet." I smiled, closing my eyes. I went to open my eyes again but I felt something dripping.

Blood was dripping into my eyes.

"Just keep your eyes closed, but please don't fall asleep." Lo'ak said.

I nodded.

————

I really had a hard time not falling asleep. I felt us come to a stop.

"Lëiani we're here." Lo'ak started shaking me. "Lëiani?" He continued shaking me. "Lëiani?!"

I started laughing, still keeping my eyes closed. "Got you."

He let out a relieved sigh."Lëiani that isn't funny. I thought I lost you."

"That's going to be hard to do. I'm here forever." I smiled.

I then felt his arm wrap around my back, and his other hand snaking under my legs.

"Fall in" I heard Jake say sternly.

Lo'ak hopped down, keeping his grip on me. I really wanted to open my eyes. It felt like I was blind.

"You're supposed to be spotters. You spot bogeys, and you call 'em in. From a distance!" He raised his voice.

Does any of this sound familiar? Get here!" I'm assuming he yelled at Lo'ak because Lo'ak started walking.

Just then I felt someone touching my face. I had no clue what they were doing.

"Jesus. I let you two geniuses fly a mission, and you disobey my direct orders." I could feel Lo'ak's heart beat start to pick up."Kiri, can you go help your grandmother with the wounded? Please?" He added.

"Lëiani is wounded." I heard her speak above me.

It was her. I kind of figured it was her. She was always worried when someone got hurt.

"It's fine." I said. I felt someone else touch my face.

"Tuk go with her. Go." He urged Tuk.

"Dad-sir. I take full responsibility." I heard Neteyam say.

"Yeah, you do. That's right. 'Cause you're the older brother. You gotta act like it. What would've happened if Lëiani was severely hurt? That would've been on you two knuckleheads."

I don't know why he was blaming Neteyam. I'm supposed to get hurt. especially if it's from me protecting them. which is what I did. Which is what happened...

"Ma Jake. Lëiani is actually bleeding." I heard Neytiri.

She wasn't wrong. I felt severely lightheaded.

"Neytiri it's fine." I quietly said. I felt so stupid.

"Neteyam, go and get her patched up. Go on. Dismissed."

"Dad I got h-"

"I'm not done with you yet." He told Lo'ak. I felt another pair of hands grab me from Lo'ak. We began walking.

"How are you feeling Mighty Warrior?" Neteyam asked.

"I've been better." I nodded. "I mean I think I split my head open and broke my ankle, but yeah I've been better."

He started laughing.

Just then I was sat on the floor.

"Grandmother." Neteyam signaled for Mo'at to come over.
