Chapter 2💙

We were all hanging out together outside in the parking lot , it was just a few minutes before the bell rang. Hannah was telling me the hottest gossip about school. Apparently Ryder was coming back. I hadn't met him but Seth was very found by the way he spoke of him.

"I follow him on Instagram and believe me when I say he's the hottest dude I've ever seen."
She said

she had been gushing about him for the past 5 minutes and standing outside underneath the scorching heat was making me agitated. I tiredly replied "He can't be that hot , plus don't you have a boyfriend?"

Hannah shaked her head , irritation clear on her face while saying "don't be a mood killer , I can still look just not touch , it's fine".
I sighed not wanting to say anything further cause I knew it was going to be completely pointless.

Just as I was going to head in school I saw a guy walking towards us. His hair in beach waves and his body was covered by a tight t shirt. He reminded me of a season. He looked like winter, with his jet back hair that looked almost like coal underneath suns's direct light. His eyes, they were gorgeous I couldn't decipher if they were green or blue but they looked cold and empty so much that staring into them gave me chills. He had muscles and it was clear that he worked out . I kept staring at him not thinking about how at it made me look until I realised that he was coming towards me.

He suddenly met my eyes and I quickly looked around pretending that I wasn't gapping at him just like the rest of the girls. Just then I felt Seth place a hand on my shoulder and i felt a huge amount of guilty. I had never been the type of person to stare or flirt with someone when I was in a relationship but it was just something unique about this guy that made me not want to look away.

He smirked directly at me as though he might have caught me lurking at him but it might have been my delusions, I don't know I seem to be an insecure person but believe that every guy that looks at me is in love with me, so I don't trust my judgement, still I ducked my head in shame .

"What's up" he said to Seth who came and quickly engulfed him in a bear hug. It looked like he was uncomfortable with the sudden contact and patted Seth's back in an unsuccessful attempt to calm him down. I was a bit taken aback until Seth introduced him "so guys this is my childhood bestfriend Ryder" everyone was listing their nice to meet you's while shaking their hands with him. Finally it was my turn "so this is my girlfriend Emerson" said Seth introducing me proudly.

Ryder turned his attention towards me amusement twinkling in his eyes while he looked at me up and down. I could feel heat creeping on my cheeks. He held out his hand and said "girlfriend huh"
