Chapter 2: Row'lans and l'ipos

Neytam felt Nin tighten her grip on his hand. It was her parents.
"Lo'ak, Neytam," She whispered "go get Jake and Neytiri"
"Ok" the two boys looked at each other then at Row'lan and L'ipo, they had never liked them and hissed angrily as they left the room.

"What do you want."
"Hello my daughter how are you" said L'ipo in an attempt to hug her
"I'm fine now what do you want " she spoke coldly
Jake and Neytiri walked into the room, they hated it when their daughter was alone with them.

"Are you ok Nin?"said jake as he knelt to her level
"I'm fine" she turned her head away
"If you want to speak to our daughter, then we need to be here" said Neytiri
"She is not your daughter," L'ipo said "she is mine, I created her, she is our daughter."
"I'm not your daughter" said Nin

Row'lan and  L'ipo looked at each other and rolled their eyes.
"We discussed this, child." L'ipo said "We heard you were injured, so we thought we should be so kind and check on you dear. But clearly you don't care about your dear old parents, how heartless."
"Two things." She said, widening her stance "One, I am not heartless, and two you are not my parents!" her voice filled the room.

L'ipo eyes widened before glowering at her.
"We don't want you to fly for a month. This is very embarrassing for us, you could have ruined our reputation" They yelled.

Nin was enraged as she fought back tears.
She got up, grabbed her bow and arrows from by the door and walked out, her bio parents yelling for her to come back.

An hour later Jake found Nin practicing with her bow. She was not doing well and kept missing.
Five arrows had been snapped and thrown on the ground in anger.
"Your mother will not like that"said Jake as he went over and picked up the bow nin had also discarded. Slywanin leaned  against a tree, her head in her hands. Jake went over and stood in front of her. She lifted her head out of her hands so she was looking at him,

tears welled in her eyes as she dropped to the floor in defeat, "Why can't I do anything right.." Her voice came out as a whisper as she cupped her face into her hands and cried softly. "Why was I not enough for them, how can I do nothing right"
"Oh baby girl you are perfect"

"Then why did they not want me.." she whispered, just enough to hear. "I WAS ONE MONTH OLD. THEY DIDN'T EVEN NAME ME" She screamed as tears stung her eyes.but she refused to cry  "WHY ARE THEY HERE?!" Slywanin stood up baring her teeth, "I AM NOT THEIRS, THEY CAN'T TAKE BACK WHAT THEY THREW AWAY" She gritted her teeth

"WHY DID THEY NOT WANT ME"she screamed at the same time, Jake pulled her in and hugged her. This was the first time Jake had seen her brake like this. It shattered his heart knowing there was nothing he could do, so they stayed like that. Jake hugged nin as she finally started to cry ,

he knew that this was years of pain all built up.
Hours later nin had cried herself to sleep. Jake picked her up, grabbed her bow and carried her into the kids room. He laid her down, putting her next to her he gave her a kiss and whispered "you are enough, my daughter."
