The Assignment

Todoroki POV
It's just another day at UA High. Class hasn't started yet, but Midoriya and Iida are already going over some assignment Aizawa assigned to us. Mineta is, of course, making perverted remarks about the girls. Kaminari and Kirishima are being loud in the back, per usual. Class 1-A is a handful, that's for sure... Sometimes I wonder how Aizawa can have such patience with twenty different students. That's probably another contributor to his tiredness.

"Thinking hard enough, Icy-Hot?" I hear Bakugou say in a laughing, sarcastic tone behind me.
"Just waiting on class to start, that's all." I say back.

If i'm being honest with myself, I am looking for any excuse to be distracted from my thoughts. It's been harder than usual lately at home. I can feel fathers rage grow stronger every day that I refuse to use my left side. Usually, I wouldn't care, but it's as if he has now given up trying to convince me and instead is trying to force me. Last night he wouldn't give me dinner, told me once I become "grateful" for the power he gave me, he'd consider feeding me again. I won't give in... but i'm not sure how to keep fighting him.

"Alright class, it's time to go over your assignment for the day." said Aizawa lifelessly.
"Excuse me, Mr. Aizawa!! Isn't this a group assign-" Oachaco blurts out.
Aizawa interrupts, "As I was trying to say, todays assignment will be different than you were expecting. I have assigned each of you to a team of two. You and your partner will research a villain and learn everything you can about them. Study their quirks, their weaknesses, their history, anything that can help you strategize a plan to beat them. You must work together to construct a plan that is approved by me, as well as the other teachers. All classes will be participating in this activity, however since class 1-A has the most real life experience fighting villains, we will be assessing your plan of attacks more closely."
"Ribbit. This sounds interesting." Tsu mumbles. Tokoyami nods in agreement.
Aizawa begins to speak again, "Now for the pairings. We carefully put together these teams, keeping a lot of a things in mind. So, I don't want to hear any complaints, and that means you Bakugo."
"Mmcht." he smacks his lips together aggravated.
Aizawa continues, "The first team will be Asui and Mineta. Then we have Ocacho and Mina. Momo, you will be with Kirishima. Jiro and Oijiro, you'll be together. Iida, try to encourage your partner to come up with a plan that won't end in him breaking his own bones" he quickly stares at Midoriya.
So far my name hasn't been called. Honestly wouldn't mind being partnered with Tokoyami, he seems to have a pretty level head.
"Tokoyami and Sero"
Well, there goes that thought.
"Todoroki"
I lift my head to acknowledge Mr. Aizawa. Of course, with my luck, the next words that follow are, "You will be working with Bakugo."
Great. I'm going to fail this assignment.
