Let me first introduce you to Amos Sebastian Diggory-Gaunt, the protagonist of the story. During this story, we are looking at Amos and his friends during their sixth year at Hogwarts. He's currently 17.
Amos is the son of Clara Diggory and adoptive son Ominis Gaunt (whose story you can read in the finished book 'In His Eyes' and the currently ongoing sequel 'In Her Eyes). He is the biological son of Sebastian Sallow.
Like his mother, Amos is compassionate and has a great love for herbology and potions, but he also struggles with dark temptations much like his mother and biological father, Sebastian. He's always been shielded from the dark arts as much as possible by his adoptive father, Ominis Gaunt.
Amos is a Gemini and was born on June 12th, 1893.
