her tears started to spill down the ground. it was cold and she felt helpless. in that moment she couldn't help but wish he would be there, that he would find her again like he always did.

And as if the gates to heaven were open and her prayer got accepted, she heard a familiar voice calling for her.

"Y/N!!?" the moment she heard the familiar rasp, her head snapped up to see Jonah standing in front of her. his instincts and the smell of her scent made him find her quickly, they led him to her.

He kneeled down, hands frantically roaming all over her face, "what's wrong?! what happened?"

A sob erupted at the sight of him, she let herself crumble down and threw her body on his. Her hands were grasping his clothing in desperation.

"Who hurt you?" he bitterly asked, holding her tightly against himself,

"Was it your MOTHER?"

Y/n didn't give an answer but hugged him closer.

"It was her." his jaw clenched, the darkness of his eyes had a yellow hue to it in anger, "I'll kill her. i will rip her head off and drink her blood until the very last—"

"—no! you won't do that!" she pulled away to look at him, "You're not like that, you're not a monster as everyone thinks you are. She is not worth it."

Looking at her big glassy eyes was enough to tame the beastly side inside of him. He sighed in defeat, "you're right, i won't do it." even though i really want to hurt her for hurting you.

She sniffled a little and let her face fall to the crook of his neck, her wet lashes clung to his darl matte skin, "I'm glad you found me."

"you know i have special instincts when it comes to you." he smiled

while stroking her hair.

"But let's bring you out of here." He put one arm under her legs and the other around her torso to carry her bridal style. the dark castle he was living in was at the end of the forest and he knew that he had to take care of her.

He was guiding Y/n there, to their home. Her arms were chained around his neck and she finally felt secure being with him.

It didn't take too long until he entered his home through the big open window. He softly put her down, "can you stand?"

"yeah." she winced, "I'll be fine, don't worry."

"I'll fill the bathtub with warm water, you can slowly start undressing, alright?"

"Alright." she smiled and watched him leave off towards the bathroom.

Her fingers grasped the hem of her gown and pulled it over her head; she was already nearly nude beneath, only a pair of underwear covering her body. Goosebumps erupted through her skin at the coldness of the weather; the very same weather in which she had met him for the first time years ago.

She met Jonah unexpectedly. Villagers were protesting and searching for those monstrous bloodsuckers, they were dangerous beings for humans and no one felt safe knowing that they freely ran around.

Y/N was scared of them, too. Based on the rumors she heard they were haunting people and killing them by drinking all of their blood.

And on a chilly night, villagers were searching for these vampires, her mother practically forced Y/N to tag along with them.

They were all in the dark forest and there was only a mace with lit fire in her hands to provide light and make out the way she needed to go.

They all split up and eventually she got lost in the meantime. She started to feel anxious, running around in fear in order to find someone who can guide her out and bring her home. When she thinks back she laughs how immature her younger self was.
