Jack and I did the same, and as usual, we took the normal course to the government base. I texted Reed, telling him, "Hey, Skylar's going to give you some alone time, so when that time comes, please take the opportunity to do something with Brianna."

He gave me a smiley face and a thumbs up, and I laughed. "Alright, Will, what're we doing?" I asked when we got to the secret activation area.

William activated it and when we got into the base, he said, "You'll see soon enough. It's just me taking advantage of the system."

He quickly walked down the hall to the room team Austin was usually in. "Austin. I'm filing a request. I want Iris, Zephyr, and Jack to investigate a case with me," William said.

"Wait, why not my entire team?" Austin asked.

"I trust Iris, Zephyr, and Jack..." William said. "I mean, your team is trustworthy too, but this case is personal."

When Austin frowned a bit, I quickly interjected. "I could be preparing to take a step up from sub leader to leader."

"Good point... okay, I'll let the request in," Austin said.

"Thank you," William answered, adding when he opened the door, "So much."

"Alright, where's Cameron? He's coming with us too," William said. "Because... he's a factor."

"I told him to hang out in the park until we could go pick him up," I said.

I figured out that William would want to touch upon the Anderson case after accidentally reading a bit of his mind. Since Cameron was the one who killed Anderson, I left him at the park and knew William would want Cameron to help investigate too. "Good," William muttered. "Let's go."

We ran towards the direction of the park, and I received a text from Reed. "Fuck what do I do?!" it said.

Damn, I didn't have time for this. I texted him back, saying, "Skylar can help you out. She's onto you and Brianna. Go text Skylar."

Then I texted Skylar, saying, "Reed needs help, he lacks balls again, and I'm too busy to help him. Please help him."

"Hey," Cameron greeted us once we reached the park. "What's up?""

I want everything. I want all the details of Anderson's death. I want to know Anderson's entire story other than him running away. Because I know for a fact that running away wasn't all he did in life," William said. "Do you know everything?"

"No," Cameron sighed. "Back then, I didn't want to know everything. I was too afraid. I put everything away. All of his things were left behind, and I don't remember where I put it. I'm sorry, William, I don't have all the details."

"Alright, come with us then. We're going to find this shit out," William said. "I refuse to let Anderson go without completely knowing him. He's my best friend. He kept me... he kept me alive."

"I'm sorry, I can't come with you," Cameron said.

 "What?!" William demanded. "Why not?"

"I just... there's too much involved and I really can't touch upon this whole thing. I'll help you guys pull it off somehow, but, I'm just not going to do anything else," Cameron said. "Plus, attackers have been targetting me in the United Kingdom."

"It's not that you can't do it, you're just too afraid to do it!" William snapped. "You're too afraid of facing your past! I thought I was weak, but you're even worse than me."

"But... but attackers..." Cameron protested. "I can't assure the safety of not only myself, but the rest of you guys..."

"I don't care if I die finding out about this stuff," William resolutely said. "And Cameron... I thought you were physically indestructible."
