"I really don't like you bu–"
"Go figure."
"Can you shut up for a minute!" I cough and recompose myself slightly, no need to get my feathers ruffled over someone so... pathetic. She stood still, arms crossed over her chest, brows furrowed, a frown present on her face. She kinda reminds me of that one time with– No.
Don't think about that.
Don't think about her.
"As I was saying, Chip's gonna have you sign an actual contract this evening, something to make things more official. My one and only piece of advice is read it."
"Isn't that pretty obvious?" She spits out.
My eyes narrow at her before tacking on "I don't think you fully understand who you're about to work for here. I need you to trust me when I say–"
"Trust you?" She raises a brow.
I looked at her dead in the eyes, "Yes, just this once. Trust me." We stared at one another for a few seconds, she then loosened up a bit looking slightly less tense then before. I decided to take this as a sign that she would take my word, that just this once, she would trust me. "Chip's sneaky with his contracts, often finding loopholes. He'll say one thing but, the contract may contradict his statement completely and if you try to argue with him about it he'll just tell you that you should have read the fine print."
The kid's eyes darted to the ground, her nose scrunched up in thought and a hand placed on her chin rubbing it whilst she was lost in thought, digesting the information I just gave her. Her eyes looked back up and met mine, my arms crossed over my chest and I let out a huff, 'Just take my damn word for it already!' I thought angrily.
"Fine." She finally spits out "I'll make sure to read the contract thoroughly."
"Good, because then for once in your life, you can finally make a good decision." To this her ears pressed back slightly and eyes narrowed. I don't care though, 'Be pissed off' I mentally stuck my tongue out at her.
Finally I can go to sleep some more.
♤Sash's: POV♤
I delicately placed the last file in a drawer tucked on the bottom right side of my wooden desk. As soon as I closed it I let out a sigh of content, finally I had finished my work for the day and it was only– I glanced over at the clock, 6:00PM, I finished early! I stretch myself and hear a satisfying crack, I then kick my shoes off and go to lay down on my sofa, I've never been so happy. Getting comfortable I close my eyes and let myself slip away, a small nap wouldn't hurt before I have to inevitably go downstairs to fulfil the second part of my job...
BAM! My office door swings open, I jolt up from the sudden noise and look to see who's interrupted my quiet time.
"Sleeping on the job? I expect better from you Sashie."
I let out a groan "I'm sleeping on the job, Chip, in fact I've finished my daily quota so I'm allowed to slack off now."
"Sash, Sash, Sash." He tuts "I don't remember when I started paying for my employees to do nothing." He smirks, my eyes narrow at him.
"Weren't you the one who changed my job from being a hostess to carrying out half of your workload?" I throw him a sarcastic smile, he puts on a fake pout.
"But Sashie, it's hard to do all of that by myself and you do it so much better than me." He began moving towards me.
"Really a strong boy like you can't handle a bit of extra work?"
