She pulls away and says "I can walk by myself you know."

"Okay then.." I say putting my hands up.
I'm watching Hailey trying to walk to her living room, almost falling with every step she took.

"Yeah no, i'm walking you to the couch." I say rushing up to her because she was falling.
I walk Hailey to the couch and lay her down. She puts on a show or something and I go into the kitchen to cook the noodle soup.

I tried to cook chicken noodle soup, key word, tried. I ended up somehow burning the water, spilling seasoning everywhere and I think the chicken might be undercooked. The noodles were fine though.

I was just stirring the soup when it pops and makes a weird noise. I yelp and jump away from the pot, dropping the spoon I had in the process. The noise stops so I pick up the spoon and turn the stove off.

When i'm getting back up from picking the spoon up, I see Hailey standing in the doorway to the kitchen.
"Hailey? How long have you been there?"

Hailey chuckles "I've been here for a while actually."
"But you should be resting! Just go lay down." I tell her waving my hands telling her to go away.
"Okay then."

"Okay, it's time to try the soup I made."
I pour myself a bowl and drink some of it. Immediately spitting it out in the sink afterwords.

"Ew this is disgusting! I give up trying to cook, i'll just order something."
I take my phone out and dial a food shop and order some soup for delivery.

30 ish minutes later

I cleaned the kitchen because of the mess I made and picked up the soup at the door, walking it back to Hailey.
"I got you some soup." I tell her, handing her the bowl of soup.

3rd person POV

"Weren't you making some?" Hailey questions me.
"Yeah but I burnt the water-"

"You burnt the water?" Hailey starts laughing
"How did you burn the water?!"

Jake replies embarrassed and flustered "I-I don't know okay! Just eat the soup so you can feel better."

"Okay.."

Around 8PM

Hailey and Jake were talking when Hailey yawned.
"Are you tired? Here let's go upstairs, i'll run you a bath."
Jake pulls Hailey off the couch and walks her upstairs.
Jake goes into her bathroom to run the bath while Hailey gets her towel and clothes

"How did I end up with such a nice best friend?" She smiled warmly at herself before Jake walks in telling her the bath is ready.

She gets in the bath and leaves Jake alone in her room. In the meantime Jake just sits on her bed and scrolls on his phone.

25 minutes later

Hailey enters her room, she's dressed in her pjs and she's extremely tired. She sees Jake on her bed, "Get. Off. My. Bed." Hailey says grumpily.

Jake gets horrified and jumps off the bed. Hailey walks over and lays on her bed, falling asleep right away.

"Oh. Shes asleep already. Guess it's my time to leave." He smiles thinking about how cute she was and pulls the covers over her body.
