War, it is the only thing people ever seem to know. The only way they seem to cope with differences. Not all wars are big and bloody, though, the one before my time was.

Most people will tell you the war they are waging is righteous or needed but it's not. Not really. You could always try talking to someone, or maybe don't talk to them at all. Nothing states you have to go through war in which you are convinced you are fighting for the right side.

Conquest wars are even worse to me. What convinces you that you are supposed to take that land? The people living there need just as much as everyone else does.

That's why I never understood my parents' war. It was before I was even a thought, but their war was about conquest and bitter anger towards the other side. It wasn't that they needed the space, they just didn't want the others to have it. This went on for years I was told. At least one generation lived and died dealing with it while another grew in it.

That was until everything ended and the sides figured out how they could live with one another and not have to constantly fight over space. The light and the dark could coexist peacefully.
