She saw them fly
Outside in the sky
Wings spread wide
With nothing to hide
Their hearts soaring free
Happy as could be
"Come join us,"
They said.
She wanted to
Yet she knew
They were full of flight
She was devoid of light
"Come join us,"
They said.
She wished she could
But it was no good
For she lived in a cage
Her wings were clipped
