A Real Date

"Breakfast was good asf" Lo'ak said sitting back.
"Yeah cause you didn't pay."
"Whatever , you wanted me to come."
"Thanks yums."
"You're welcome baby girl."
"Y'all are so gross." Lo'ak said making a gagging noise.
"Anyway....We should go." I said getting up clearing the table we sat at.
I grabbed Y/n's swinging it as we walked to the car.
"You're in a good mood today." She said looking in my direction.
I raised the back of her hand kissing it.
"Maybe it's cause I slept good."
She giggled.
"You're so cute.... Let me get that for you." I said while opening the car door for her, closing it when she got in.
I jogged slightly to get in the car myself starting it up.
I almost forgot Lo'ak was with us until he started to blast his music.
"Don't you listen to anything other than Yeat?"
"Shhhh listen to the lyrics bro..."
I rolled my eyes reversing out the parking lot.
I made my way to Y/n's apartment dropping her off.
Lo'ak made his way in the front seat  when she left climbing over the arm rest getting his dirty footprints all over it.
"Can you respect my car Lo'ak" I said irritated.
He swept his hands forward dusting off the arm rest.
"Could've just gotten out the car."
"Why and I'm already inside ?"
Yes that would be the way Lo'ak thinks.
"So bro... you know the fair is coming."
I raised my eyebrows anticipating his upcoming request.
"Yeah , what about it ?"
"I kinda asked Tsireya on a date so would you carry us?"
I let out a loud laugh.
"Absolutely not brother."
"Neteyam please!" He begged.
"Lo'ak I'm not your chauffeur."
"You kinda are since mom & dad gifted you the car."
I side eyed him, before turning my gaze back to the road.
"Because I'm the responsible one."
"Neteyam what am I supposed to do cancel?"
" Yeah you can."
"I'm not doing that......I'll clean your bathroom for 2 weeks."
"Now you're talking" I said enthusiastically a huge grin on my face.
"Whatever, we got a deal ?"
"Deal, I'm also inviting Y/n since I'm driving and it's my car."
"Whatever she's cooler than you anyway."
I just shamed my head at his comment parking the car in-front of our house.

Yn's Pov
I got inside my apartment making my way to my room excited to go back to sleep after a great breakfast.
I made it crawling in under the covers when my phone vibrated.
It was Ao'nung.
"Shit!! I forgot he asked me on a date today.

"Fuck fuck fuck." I muttered to myself before getting up to shower.
I showered as quickly as I could getting out to do my makeup.
I put on the tiniest amount due to me not having time, checking my phone after I was done.
20 minutes.
I quickly raced scanning thru my closet pulling piece after piece settling on a mesh dress.
It would have to do.
I stepped in the mirror examining my appearance.
It was actually great considering the time crunch.
I checked my phone 5 minutes to spare perfect.
I sat on my couch texting Kiri in the meantime.

I got a text from Ao'nung saying that he was outside.
I was honestly nervous something I'm usually not.
I made my way over to his car greeting him getting in.
He gave me a hug before going back to driving.
"Where are we going this time?" I asked curious at what he had planned.
" just relax love , I think you'll like it."
I exhaled sitting back in the seat.
The car ride was mostly quiet but not awkwardly silent.
We were pretty far out at this point.
I could see the water on the horizon.
"Are we going to the beach?"
He chuckled. "Surprise ruined."
I laughed with him.
"I'm sorry."
"Don't be sorry love it's only part of the surprise."
He parked and we got out.
He took my hand intertwining our fingers , leading me to the surprise.
"Wait" I said taking my shoes off wanting to feel the hot sand in my feet.
We started to walk again, the sound of the waves gently coming to the shore ever present.
"You know my parent took us to the beach all the time when we were kids, it's now one of my favorite places to be."
"That's so nice Ao'nung, your parents sound lovely, thanks for bringing me here.
We approached this blanket that sat and had roses.
"Surprise." He said standing behind me.
My eyes lit up at the sight.
He really did all of this for me.
I turned around giving him a tight hug.
"Thank you Nung."
"Come one princess sit."
I sat on the blanket crossing my legs admiring the roses he got me.
"I wasn't sure what flowers you liked so I got those."
"They're perfect" I inhaled the sent.

"So tell me more about you y/n... tell me everything."
I smiled. "What do you wanna know?"
"What's your favorite food."
"Pasta for sure any kind of pasta, you?"
"Oh fancy. Sushi. "
"Oh naw."
He looked at me like I had two heads.
"You don't fw sushi?"
"Eywa No , I like my food cooked."
He let out a little laugh before asking another question.
"Favorite song?"
"We'll right now it's p*$$y fairy by Jhene Aiko."
"Oh really you'll have to sing that one for me." A sly grin plastered on his face.
I pushed him slightly. "You know the song , stop."
He laughed grabbing my hand to balance himself.
We talked for hours and hours getting to know each other better.
Ao'nung and I had a lot in common.
He was a really sweet guy from what I could tell.
This date went really really well I thought to myself, hoping that he'd ask me on another.
It was approaching eclipse now and as much as I'd like to stay it was getting chilly out.
"Oh you're shivering, let's get you back home."
He grabbed my hand taking my up.
We walked back to his car he arm wrapped around me to keep me warm.
"I've had a great time with you today Y/n maybe we can do it again.
