Capture or kill ( chapter 14 )

Ghost watched behind him and your back, keeping cover as you both made your way through the large base . It wasn't long before you heard Alejandro cursing out someone in Spanish

You went to go ahead but ghost grabbed you by your wrist gently and he shook his head no and you nodded in understanding and you stood next to him as you neared a cell . You went closer and saw graves standing there in front of Alejandro as if he was strapped to a chair bloodied and bruised . Your eyes widened and you balled your fists up at your sides and you looked up at ghost.

He nodded and shot down two of the soldiers that were with graves and graves went to shoot but you threw a knife straight through his hand causing him to cry out in pain . You watched as the red crimson slowly poured from his palm and he tightly clenched his hand to his chest . You wasted no time you tackled the man and started
Continuously stabbing him in his neck.

A bashful rage washed over you as you kept stabbing him. You didn't care at the moment, all you wished was that he was dead and you kept your thoughts to yourself and you did what you had promised in your head , you killed graves .
" dios mio..."
Alejandro said as he watched as you stabbed away. Ghost pulled you off of him and grabbed you tightly yet gently and he looked at you .
" He's dead already, he's dead ."
He said hoping for you to stop.

You looked at your hands and your vest and saw that it was all covered in blood . You were out of breath and you looked up at the tall masked man and nodded as you put the bloody knife down . You looked back down at the bloodied body and you looked at it with a hateful disgust and you kicked his body over .

" fucking bastard ....served you right ..."
You said under your breath.

Ghost walked into the cell room since the door was opened and he took out his knife and cut Alejandro loose from his binds .
" Can you walk ?."
Ghost asked and Alejandro nodded as he stood up.
" this is soap, how Copy?."
You heard through the radio on ghosts chest.
" this is ghost , we got Alejandro and  graves were handled with ."
He said as he looked towards you .
" Alright we're heading to the humvees now to get out safely ."
Soap said before ending .

You all ran through the hallways past and over dead bodies of fallen shadows and you ran out of the base and back to the humvee . Alejandro's men and including Rodolfos got in spare humvees as well that sat outside the base and you all got ready . You ran into the back seat of a humvee nearby and ghost and the others did as well . You sat in the back with soap and ghost while Rodolfo was driving and Alejandro was in the passenger side.

" Let's get out of this bitch ."
You heaved and Rodolfo nodded while turning on the vehicle . The engine started and the lights turned on and you were soon heading off . The other humvees followed behind and you now started to head back to where you first started off . Your adrenaline still rushed but you were still quiet , soap looked over and saw the blood on you and immediately looked at ghost .

" ghost the fuck happened to the Lass ?."
Soap said sternly .
" She did the honors of killing graves ."
He said plainly .
Soap looked toward you and he made a shocked expression.
" I wasn't gonna let him kill the only thing I have left to call family ."
You said sternly .
" You have a fighter there with you ."
Alejandro spoke .
" Indeed we do ."
Ghost spoke .

" Keep fighting the good fight Hermano ."
Soap spoke , saying his goodbye to Alejandro.
" to a bitter end my brother ."
Alejandro responded.
" good luck amigo ."
Rodolfo said while shaking soaps hand.
Soap gave a nod and walked past ghost and patted him on the shoulder quickly as he walked to the helicopter that waited for you .
" Zero, keep up the fight, kid . Don't get into trouble and keep doing what you do best ."
Alejandro said towards you and you gave him a little goodbye nod as you and soap walked into the helicopter.

You had done it , you killed graves but there were bigger problems ahead of but it's like a wave . It comes closer and gets bigger but it will always soon die down . Ghost went to follow behind soap but he was stopped .
" ghost , no te pierdas hermano."

" auhevo ! ."
Ghost spoke as he raised his fist  in the air earning a grin from Alejandro. Ghost hopped on the helicopter and the ramp closed behind him.you we're already strapped in along with soap and you were ready to go .

You couldn't wait to get back to base and eat and sleep . Most of all take painkillers for your injuries.ghost took his spot next to you and he gave you a little nudge causing you to look up at him .
" You did good ."
He said in a deep gruff voice.
" yeah....fuck I can't wait to shower ."
You said gesturing to your bloodied clothes.
" Don't worry ."
He replied .

You were officially going home . Something you could call a home at least . A rest was very much needed along with a good shower.
