Maya x Midas (Rewrite)

Golden love.

The early morning sun glistened through the windows of the Agency's magnificent halls. Midas the owner of the Agency patrolled like he usually did in the mornings henchmen walked past him and usually greeted him with either "Morning boss" or a simple "Morning" Midas would always smile and respond with the same thing. As he was finishing his patrol on the upper level he saw a young woman walk in through the Agency's doors after she finished talking with a henchman. Midas made his way down the stairs swiftly to greet the agent she noticed him straight away and made her way over to him "erm hi,  you must be the boss here?" the agent asked quietly "Yes! i am the boss here, my name is Midas and you are?" Midas asked as he put his hand out for a hand shake. The agent was hesitant but shook his hand "i'm Maya its an honour to meet you sir." Maya said politely. Midas felt a slight tingle that went through his body but shook it off " You know how things work around here don't you?" Midas asked while placing his gold drum gun down on the reception desk "Not really sir" Maya said nervously "Ah don't worry too much about that because at the minute we are having a meeting at 7:00 AM so you can get introduced to the other agents" Midas said while pointing towards the conference room "OK i understand boss" Maya said while scratching the back of her neck "OK then i'll see you there, you've got about an hour and twenty minutes to meet the other agents.2 Midas said while picking his drum gun back up "OK no problem sir" Maya said while moving her hair out of her eye "i'll see you around then" Midas said while walking off.  "Oh and by the way your office is on the second floor on the right, it should have a sign on it saying "new agent" on the door" Midas shouted across to Maya "Oh OK no problem sir." Maya shouted back

 "Why do i feel different talking to him" Maya thought to herself 

" She really is something ain't she"  Midas questioned himself.

Brutus had just finished his patrol around the bottom floor and ran into Midas "Oh hey boss are you doing OK? you look a bit red there" Brutus asked concernedly " err yeah I'm OK i guess it's just that new agent i guess i just feel a strange feeling around her i don't know why" Midas said scratching his neck "Hm must be nerves or something else boss I ain't the smartest when it comes to knowledge" Brutus said while setting down his mini-gun on the floor "yeah you must be right, oh and by the way there is a meeting to introduce Maya at 7" Midas said while walking off "Ah no bother then boss, I'll see you around" Brutus said picking his mini-gun up

A helicopter just landed on the helipad "Thanks driver" a sweet voice called out 

"yeah thanks driver" a male voice called out this time

"Ah morning Agent Skye and Agent Battlehound" the henchman at the entrance said

"Morning!!!" Skye shouted

Battlehound and Skye walked into the agency "you know every time i walk in here it still feels like a new place" Battlehound said while looking up "yeah i see what you mean" Skye said while holding Battlehound's hand "Ah Agent Skye and Agent Battlehound i should take this time to quickly tell you guys that here is a meeting at 7:00 AM in the conference room to introduce the new agent, Maya" The henchman said while standing up from his chair at the receptionist desk " ah OK no problem then" Battlehound while shaking the henchman's hand "So you wanna go get breakfast or something from the breakroom? Skye asked while putting her head on Battlehounds shoulder "hell yeah i'm starving" Battlehound said as he started speed walking over to the breakroom "HEY wait up!" Skye shouted while trying to contain a giggle.

"Second floor on the right he said didn't he? " Maya thought to herself as she walked up the stairs to the second floor " Ah here it is" Maya said while smiling she opened the door and stepped in "huh it doesn't even look bad in here was kinda expecting it be run down in her" Maya said out loud "well lets move some things around to make it feel like home" Maya said before laughing at her own silly joke.

Midas walked into the breakroom and saw Battlehound and Skye laughing "Morning you two lovebirds" Midas said 

"Morning Midas" Skye replied while blushing Midas walked over to the keurig machine to make a cup of coffee "You guys do anything interesting last nigh" Midas asked before blowing on his coffee "uh nothing really i guess just watched a movie i don't remember anything else that happened after the movie" Battlehound said while setting his coffee down on bench " I REM-" Skye tried to shout before Battlehound put his hand over her mouth "Shush" Battlehound said before kissing her on the forehead. Midas spat his coffee out "OK OK i don't to hear this" Midas said while trying contain his laughter Battlehound was as red as the rose that was on the table next to him "oh let me get you something to clean that up real quick" Skye said while opening the breakroom door "Well now that she's gone i need to ask you something really quickly Battlehound" Midas said while glancing at the door "uh yeah go ahead Battlehound said while also glancing at the door "How could you tell that you liked Skye" Midas asked cautiously "Oh err i don't actually know if i'm being honest it was just a kind of instinct that i wanted to be around her and be there for her" Battle hound while regaining eye contact with Midas. "Ah yeah that makes some sense i guess" Midas aid while checking the door again "Why did you want to know may i ask?" Battlehound said before taking another sip of coffee "I don't know myself really i just feel different around the new agent Maya" Midas said while drinking what was left of his coffee "Well if that's how you feel keep trying you'll win her over i know you will" Battle hound while placing his cup in the sink. Then Maya walked into the break room singing away until she realised who was in the room "Oh hi boss, aaaaaand you are?" Maya asked while putting her hand out for a handshake "Oh i'm Battlehound and you must be Maya correct?" Battle hound said while shaking Maya's hand "yeah i'm Maya I'm the new agent here nice to meet you" Maya said while putting her hands back in her pockets "Oh yeah it's nice to meet you too" Battlehound said while turning the sink on "Oh and by the way there is a girl out there struggling to carry some cleaning stuff in here was she originally in here" Maya said while pointing to the door "yep that's Skye" Battlehound said while drying his hands "I'll go help her and leave you two alone" Battlehound said while winking at them. Midas and Maya both shared a laugh "don't worry he's always messing about like that" Midas said while rubbing his neck "I figured" Maya said while smiling.

About thirty minutes had passed then Battlehound and Skye walked back in with the mop and bucket for the coffee that had practically dried up on the floor and they both noticed Maya and Midas both laughing together but they quickly stopped when they both realised that Battlehound and Skye were standing there "I should probably go and talk to some other agents now anyways" Maya said while walking towards the door "oh ok have fun then" Midas said while leaning back against the bench "wait Maya hold up, I'll take you around to meet the other agents real quick" Skye called out "Oh ok then come on then child" Maya said while holding in a laugh "hey i'm twenty-one" Skye said a little frustrated 

"ok ok sorry" Maya said while unable to keep her smile contained Skye then closed the door and the conversation was inaudible "God she is f***ing beautiful" Midas said out loud Battlehound burst into laughter "I said that out loud didn't I" Midas said with his eyes closed and his face red "yes, yes you did" Battlehound said while catching his breath from laughing.

So hi i really hope you enjoyed the first part of the rewrite and i really hope it's different from the original and doesn't sound as cringe as the old story. Feel free to comment and tell me if this version is a lot more improved than the original
