"Wanna hear a joke?"

His smile disappeared and he side eyed me.

"What?" I asked, kinda offended.

"Your jokes suck."

"No they don't!"

"Yes they do!" He argued back at me.

I shook my head, I was going to do it regardless.

"What happens when you witness a shipwreck."

He sighed, rubbing the top of his head.

"What?"

"You let it sink in!"

I smiled widely.

He just blinked at me.

Damn tough crowd.

"Okay that one sucked, let me do another."

I rubbed my hands together, thinking.

"When does a Joke become a dad joke?"

He said nothing but I quickly moved on.

"When it becomes apparent."

"Why did the bullet end up losing his job?"

"Because he got fired."

Before I could continue he covered my mouth.

I frowned but then I swear I heard a small chuckle fall from his lips.

"You're so stupid." He smiled shaking his head

I ripped his hands away, "You just laughed, Dipshit!"

"No I didn't." He immediately went serious.

"Yes You Did! I Heard it!"

We argued back and forth for a few minutes.

"Eywa, I'm losing it."

I laughed, "Oh, definitely. Especially if my jokes are starting to work."

"I think your crazy is starting to affect me."

He started to go back down but I pulled him to me. Latching my hands around his waist.

"You love me." I smiled

"Who said that?" He pointed to himself. "I? I did?"

I bit his ear and he yelped, "Fine, sheesh. Yes I love you."

He grumbled, "You really need to work on your jokes."

"It isn't like you have better ones!"

"I am not spending an eternity listening to those. My ears might actually start bleeding."

I just smiled at him, not saying anything. I was happy, and content. This was everything I needed.

"What? What's wrong? What did I say?" His eyes searched my face.

His eyes softened, "Why are you crying my love?"

"I have eternity with you. We're together and we have eternity."

It sounded like a dream, but the dream was reality.

He smiled softly, "I'm not going anywhere. I promise."

That was a promise he could keep.

"Well for what it's worth I can't think of anyone better to spend eternity with."

I smiled, pushing his hands away, "I love you, you dork."

He scooted closer and leaned his forehead against mine.
