Mission complete (chapter 4 )

You looked around to see many cargo containers and it was a big ship . You felt the shop rock beneath you and you smelled the salty fishy scent in the air . You looked around and stood next to Ghost and awaited orders .

" We split up , soap , ghost , graves and zero will head to the controls to deactivate the missiles and me, Gaz and the others will give you cover and clear the area ."
Price said loudly .

" Yes sir ."
Everyone said as they nodded and picked up their rifles and got to moving .
" You stay close and next to me , got that ?."
Ghost said sternly and you nodded .

They got their rifles ready and they began to sworm around the area. there was a guard nearby near where the control room would be. It was right in plain sight but I mean hey there had to be more going on . soap nodded to Ghost and he took the shot and he shot the guard .

You watched as the guard fell to the floor with a thud and blood pooled from his head . You looked at the sight before you and you wanted to run away . You hoped you didn't have to do that, you didn't want to kill anyone even if it was an enemy but if it is at a cost of your life you would half to do it .Adrenaline corseted through you as you followed Ghost and the others into the control room .

Soap and ghost took out a few more guards as you neared the door and once you were in front of the door you opened up your laptop and got ready . Ghost opened the door and walked in quickly and he cleared the room and you all walked in and shut the door behind you .

" alright over there near the control panels ."
Ghost pointed and you nodded and walked over and set your laptop and you started to tap into their system .

You couldn't lie but your heart was beating out of your chest . It was scary to know that you were a big part of the mission but even worse you could get shot or worse at any given moment . They were relying on you and with all that pressure it was scary .

You heard the waves crashing and the wind blowing . It was and dark and cloudy day which didn't help much either . You looked out the window from the control room and saw some of the shadows keeping lookout. You turned and had graves next to you and soap and Ghost kept looking out as well and kept a good eye on the door.

" This is graves , how copy ?."
Graves commed over .
" This is shadow one over we are clearing the area."
Another voice said .
You started to hack into their systems and you broke down their firewalls and breached their security system . You got a location on where the missiles would be and you got a connection to them and you started to deactivate them . You typed quickly , your breath picking up the pace.

" alright eyes on controls ."
Graves spoke .
" We are tapping in now ."
Graves radioed in as he pulled out a tablet.
" there's approximately 6 missiles ."
He spoke .
" alright alright ."
You said hoping for this to be over .

You felt your hands get clammy and you tried to calm down but it was no use . You had already seen multiple deaths already which didn't help.
You tried to get into it but nothing worked and you groaned and tried again .

" This is shadow one came in , we have got the location of the missiles ."
One soldier said .
" I do as well , go scoot or something, let me work."
You said over comms , worried as is .
You saw a countdown pop up on your screen and you had about five minutes . You must've missed something but what was counting down wasn't good .

" zero hurry up we don't have much time hurry the fuck up ."
Ghost said sternly as he turned and looked back at you to see the lovely 4 minute timer counting down .
" sorry gee fucker this is my first mission I'm working on it ."
You spat back , worried about what would happen .

" I'm trying to do it , is there an abort code I can use?."
You asked in hopes of you not blowing everyone up on this boat .
" gold eagle , actually this is shadow one , missiles are in boost phase about to burn how copy ?."
Graves said sternly.

" I GOT IT , I DISARMED IT ."
You said excitedly as your screen turned green as you cleared out the rest of the systems. Soap nodded and so did ghost and they watched as you closed up your laptop .

" Alright we need to move , head out to the rondevu to pick up ."
Ghost said and you nodded and you followedfollowed the others behind quickly .
You started to pick up the pace and you saw a helicopter land on the ship and the shadows along with you and the others ran into the helicopter and wasted no time and climbed in . you all quickly got in and left as quickly as you got out . you sat in your seat next to one of the shadows, the shadow soldier was on you right and soap was on your left .

'' nice job kid .''
The soldier on your right said and he held out his hand . you gave him a low five and made a proud little look , it was a big mission . your first mission at that and you did great . In the end you did amazing with no mess ups. I mean there was one complication but it was fixed and you came in clutch .

'' zero zero zero zero zero .''
The soldiers chanted.
Maybe this wasn't so bad , you thought .
'' you did great , especially for your first mission .''
Graves said and you gave him a little nod .
You were happy but bummed out that your old friend couldn't be there with you .
The chanting died down as the helicopter got in the air again and you sighed in relief .

Price gave you a little nod and you gave him one back . you leaned your head back and closed your eyes . You were tired but happy you didn't die today . soap looked down at you to see you resting your eyes so he just let you be and relaxed as well .

You hopped out of the helicopter and you walked back into base with the others . you walked back into your part of base on where you were staying . you entered the rec room and set your headset down on the table and you took off your vest and set it aside and you kicked off your boots as well . you rubbed your head as you walked down the hallway to go to your room to shower . you kept walking until you were soon stopped by someone .

'' you did good today you even managed to impress laswell even Ghost which is a big win .''
Price said as he tapped your shoulder.
'' Thanks heh...I'm gonna go shower . being in a helicopter with a bunch of sweaty guys is not my ideal trip so yeah i'm just gonna shower .''
You spoked .
'' alright , meet in the rec room after alright .''
Price said and he let you off .

You stripped from your mission clothes and you went and walked to the bathroom and you turned on the water . You wasted no time and got in immediately and you grabbed the soap and started cleaning yourself up . You thought about what you had seen and it was literally nightmare fuel . You tried pushing the thought to the back of your head and you tried thinking about something else.

You thought about maybe having some alone time and maybe going to the roof to chill out there for sometime since you just needed to think . You wished your friend was there to be with you and see it but sadly she wasn't there.

You washed yourself and rinsed and got out and did the usual . You put on some gray sweatpants with your hood and beanie . You slipped on some socks with slides that you had in your bag and you looked pretty decent and you left your room to head to the roof .

You passed the hallways and stepped out into the main base and you walked up a stairwell. There were a few flights but you managed and after about five minutes of climbing stairs you reached the door . You were kinda surprised that no one was there on the lookout but hey that now means you have a chill out spot now. One thing you didn't notice was that ghost knew and saw where you went .

You opened the door to the roof and felt the cool night air on your face . You closed the door behind you and you made sure that it wasn't locked and you walked into the middle of the roof fooor and you sat criss crossed .

Maybe clearing your head was the best thing you could do at the moment .
