Kaeya, Albedo, Dain, Pierro [-]The Khaenri'ahn Curse

Start from the beginning

Your own pain was yet to end. Faintly, you could make out whispers in the back of your mind. It was hard to tell what they were saying but you caught a few words.

"Fall."

"Doomed."

"Perish."

Your hand flew to your sternum. The temperature was rising in that specific section. The area where you were marked a long time ago. A symbol of Khaenri'ah.

What the hell could've been happening to make you feel this way?

"Kaeya... Kaeya!" You managed to get your words out. You wanted to ask if he knew. Because you were quickly connecting pieces together. Your pains must be connected to something involving the nation that fell 500 years ago.

Within some time, the ringing stopped. Gradually, the agonizing feeling diminished away. You felt dizzy, and your eyes were blurry. Honestly, you didn't notice it before, but Diluc must've raced up the stairs during the whole thing because he was standing there frantically looking back and forth. "Are you two okay?"

Kaeya was still slumped on the floor. Your eyes widened when you noticed the shredded piece of fabric next to him. Glancing back up, you saw his gloved hand covering his eye. He must've accidentally torn it off.

"Is he–" You looked up to Diluc. Not knowing what type of relationship he had with Kaeya.

Diluc knelt down, "he's hiding it..." you heard him murmur. "I don't have anything for you to replace it with right now."

"Just..." Kaeya breathed. "...Let me sit here for a minute."

Understanding, Diluc nodded and stood back up. He looked like he wanted to ask you a question but decided against it. "If you need anything, let me know."

After he left you got up from your chair and peeked over to Kaeya's seated position. "Did you figure it out?" You whispered, not sure if he could hear you, or if he was listening.

"Yeah, I did." His head tilted up and his hand slowly fell from his face.

You would've never guessed he was hiding a golden eye with a star in the center.

Albedo

"Albedo come on. This is the fourth sample I've brought you."

"I know I know, just one more will confirm my theory."

For whatever reason, he wanted to collect remains from that strange red cave in Dragonspine. He didn't say anything about why, but just he wanted to 'see a connection'

"Okay, but once I get it, I'm not going back. It's creepy in there. And it's hot as hell. I didn't know I could start sweating on an ice mountain."

"Actually," Albedo said and you knew he was about to shoot you down with science. He looked up over his clipboard and turned back around, "ah, nevermind. It's nothing."
