Never have I ever

Forget the image of your smile

Your eyes glistened

As it stared into mine.

I still remember

How you opened doors for me

I was so soft

But your strength protected me.

We were walking side by side

On a blissful street

Under the arch of trees

Where emotions were lit.

We talked about the craziest stuff;

Your laugh made my day;

It sounded music to my ears

I'd never felt a pang of dismay.

That moment remained a past memory

We cut the red knot tying;

We turned our backs

Ended up things vaguely.

We were good at games

We even played hide and seek

We both became the "It"

And we never found each other.
