The Loop - 5

The silence sat loud before Darren turned the car back on. "Let's hop back onto the road..." I lean back into my seat, holding onto my left leg. It was stinging like fucking hell. I groaned quietly in pain, Darren glancing at me then at my wound.

"Shit...I forgot about that..." He sighed, stopping the car. We all sat in silence before Darren started to take off his jacket. "We need to clean the wound first. Did anyone manage to grab water from the gas station?" Darren asked. Sonny sat up, grabbing one of the bags next to him and checking it.

He managed to find a bottle of water, grabbing it and silently handing it to Darren. "Thanks..." Darren had a worried look on his face while taking it from Sonny. "Alright...brace yourself." He said, looking at me. I nod, slowly breathing in and out before feeling the cold water touch my leg.

I didn't think it would sting so bad, but it stung more than bad! I gritted my teeth together hard, trying not to make much noise. The wound was bigger than I thought. "Fuck!!" I yelled out, throwing my hands over my face. I saw Darren jump a little...whoops.

Finally, he wrapped the jacket over the wound. I sigh, still holding my hands over my face. Darren rinsed his hands off with the leftover water. He then placed his hands onto the wheel and we were off again.

I decided to check the time. I grab Darren's phone, looking at the time. It was now 3:25?! "Bro...The time just went back!!" I said in a panic. Darren just shook his head, not even surprised at this point.

I then began thinking about my mother who has heart problems. She currently lives home alone. I remember her telling me a few days ago that she wasn't feeling too well so I went to her house and took her to the hospital. I checked on her every day but today. I ran into problems with my job and didn't have time to head to the hospital. She was also released today. The reason I went clubbing is because my friends asked me to go around 1 in the morning. I don't have work tomorrow- or today I suppose...so I figured it would be fine. I would've went to her house, but I figured she might've been sleep and didn't want to disturb her. She sleeps pretty early too. I just pray she's doing okay.

Everything in the car was silent...that's until Sonny blurted out, "I can't do this anymore..." I glanced at Darren with a concerned look and then back at Sonny. "Sonny...If you need to talk to us about anything...you know we're here for you, right?-"

All of a sudden, the door where Sonny was sitting swung open. Sonny jumped out, tumbling down the road. I yelled, "OH MY FUCKING GOD!!" Darren immediately hit the breaks, stopping the car. "WHAT THE FUCK?! SONNY?!" He yelled, looking back as I did too.

Sonny got up slowly, holding onto his side and limping into the woods. Darren immediately got out of the car, chasing after him. I was more than nervous to even step a foot out of the car, but I had to make sure Sonny was okay.

I slowly and carefully stepped out of the car, limping to catch up with them. "SONNY! DARREN!" I yelled out. "MATT, STAY IN THE CAR!!" Darren yelled. Of course I'm not gonna listen to that! I had to make sure Sonny was okay!

I managed to catch up to Darren. He had lost sight of Sonny. "Where is he?!" I asked hurriedly, trying to catch my breath. "I don't fucking know! I lost sight of him!" He threw his hands onto his head, pacing back and forth. "Oh my god...Sonny please be okay..." I lean over.

I quickly turn my head as I heard a twig break. I stood back up straight, slightly leaning to release pressure off of my injured leg. "Sonny..?" Darren called out. No response. We glanced at each other still standing there.

I finally decided it was time for us to move. I start limping over to where the sound came from. "Matt! What are you doing?!" Darren asked me. I looked back at him and gestured for him to follow. He hesitated for a moment but finally decided to follow.

I carefully moved branches and leaves out of our way as we passed through the trees quietly. I stop in my tracks, moving my arm out to stop Darren too. We saw Sonny with a tree branch and rock in his hands...it seemed as if he was sharpening the branch for some strange reason.

"Sonny...?" I quietly called to him. Darren grabbed my arm and pulled me back. "We don't know if he's lost his mind somehow...you need to be careful..." He whispered to me. I nod, being more cautious.

"Sonny..." Darren said. Sonny didn't respond, still sharpening the branch. "What are you planning to do with that...? Kill the damn monster??" Darren asked. Sonny remained silent.

Suddenly, he got up and dropped the rock. He held the sharp branch in his other hand. "Yo..." Darren said, backing both of us up slightly. "What are you doing?!" Sonny just glared straight at us. There seemed to be no kind of emotion in his eyes. It was honestly scary.

Sonny then quietly said, "I love you guys...you were some of my favorite people..." before stabbing himself in the chest. Darren and I gasped loudly. I covered my eyes as I almost threw up, Darren staring in shock...

HI GUYSSS!!! I'm back...again lol. I am so sorry I didn't post for some months😭 I just felt like I didn't have much motivation and I was just too tired a lot lately to finish this chapter. I usually write these stories and just continue it with whatever comes to mind. At some point I just couldn't think for some reason and that lead to me not posting. I've now plotted out the rest of the story so it hopefully won't disappoint! I may add a few changes to the ending, but that's still gonna remain a surprise..🌚 anyways I just wanted to make sure I apologized for pulling a Coryxkenshin and disappearing for some months :,) I won't say I'm officially back but I'll try to post more! Ily guys!! <3
